Thanks for all staff of hostel.
The hostel is located near the Plaça Catalunya, i spent one night there, the room was clean with very good atmosphere.
The staff is present 24/24 and it is very very respectful.

Truly “creative” management — I checked in, left minutes later, didn’t use the bed, and still got charged for the full night.
Zero flexibility, zero empathy. Not exactly the kind of creativity travellers are looking for.

Nice experience, I recommend!
Looking at how much you spend on accommodation and where the property is located I would say very TOP, if you arrive from the plane I take the shuttle, the closest stop is Plaça de Catalunya and it's a 3 minute walk, very convenient; 5 minutes to reach the central street “La Rambla” and the remaining heart of Barcą!
Very convenient for getting around given its centrality you have various means of transport available, roads with movement during the day and night life close at hand, 400 meters away we find the City Hall (Club), several American Pubs, Restaurants, Cafes and more adjacent to the structure, very quiet even for returning in the evening or at night!
Inside, very comfortable, you have your own bed and your own locker, obviously the rest is shared.
The room where I stayed had 8 beds, its own compartment for storing objects, electrical sockets near the bed and fan, very clean and tidy 7/10.
Shared spaces have pros and cons!
Organized in such a way as to connect with everyone, in fact the room has a table with several chairs for eating, several armchairs, 2 sofas, a desk with 2 PCs made available by the structure; several sockets for charging your mobile phone or other devices while to your liking, have a chat with your roommates, like I did!
Small but well-designed bathrooms, a little old and worn but it fits, 3 showers available, several sinks with mirrors and 3 toilets, all doors with keys, a washing machine and a drying rack also available.
Also the well-stocked kitchen with everything you need and a fridge with free things made available by them.
Unfortunately several people stay in this structure every day but I want to make a complaint, more cleaning and attention especially on the bathroom sometimes left abandoned for a day and not sanitized but unfortunately we know we can't keep up with everything there were many of us and we are not all equal as guests♂️; but sometimes feeling good in a place is conciliatory if you meet staff like this one at the Alternative Creative Youth Hostel Barcelona "who are very helpful, friendly, dynamic and willing to answer any of your questions, sometimes even taking a short break from their job to ask acquaintance with you! A warm hug at 2 girls in the morning and you have guys from the afternoon and night shift whose names unfortunately none of them I remember but thank you for the time you dedicated to me!!!!
Ps: I would have expected more on breakfast but I'm happy to have been your customer anyway.
Not like other hostels they also have a linen service available so yes you can avoid bringing it, it is served by them
My next stay in Barcelona if alone I will definitely do it here, I recommend it!!

Great location and friendly ladies in reception.
As for my experience with the business owners, I did not find them very honest! They would tell you one price to begin with but in the end they would charge you a different price for each night ! I was charged like this €25,70, €27.70, €29.70, €37.70 their explanation ;
They would demand payment with a menacing insistence way before the end of your stay
They would put boys in a girls' dorm!
They would cook food in the night !
And they had an explanation for everything and wanted you to believe them at face value.

We ask for payment upon arrival or when an extra night is added to your stay and we believe this to be a completely reasonable request. We have mixed dorms, as is clearly stated on the website. Guests are free to use the facilities 24/7, we cannot prevent someone from cooking at a certain time but we do make every effort to minimise noise during the night. We appreciate that not all of this may have been clear to you, however we expect our guests to follow the norms of staying in a hostel and to read the information we provide them with. We cannot do much more than this.

You will get message from this place asking when will you check in. I found out that they did not care about you. But they just want to make sure that you won't come earlier than check in time. I stayed here during the music festival(Primavera sound). So every accommodation in Barcelona are full. First date I arrived was no problem as I checked in late. But the second time I asked them. Can I leave my luggage and check in early. They said it is ok. But I have to pay 6Euro for that. So I just put my stuffs to my friend's hostel nearby(FREE). And even I pay 6Euro here for just deposit for luggage. They won't let me stay at the lobby. The reason was that lobby is small. I asked when should I come? They said 2pm as the checked in time. I was wonder if someone just arrive here by the long flight. Do we have to wait outside until check in time. This trip to Europe was 29 days N I have never seen any hostel which do not let guess wait at the lobby if they arrive early.
Anyway good things about this hostel was the location and some staffs were quite nice......
