Checked in and greeted by 2 members of wonderfully helpful staff. The hotel and room were immaculate and in a brilliant location with lots to do nearby.

The hotel is a disgrace!!
While I am typing this, the power keeps going out. We have a short circuit in the bathroom, causing the breaker in the fuse box to trip repeatedly. This happens all day long. Besides, it is dirty; the hallways smell like fish and the bathroom smells like the sewer. When we reported this to the reception, we got the answer: "Yes, all of Barcelona stinks of sewage." We got another room that same day, but it's not much better. In this current room, the power goes out 4 to 5 times an hour! When we reported this again to the reception, one of the staff members said an electrician would come in 20 minutes. After we had waited for more than 20 minutes, my husband went downstairs. There was another man then who knew nothing. The lady who promised someone would come was just lying; there is no electrician present in the evening at all. We were then offered to move to another room again, but I am not doing that anymore. This is absolutely not a 4-star hotel, don't be fooled! It dates from my grandparents' time. Outright scandalous that Booking.com dares to work with such a hotel. If I could give a 0, they had earned it!

Het spijt ons oprecht dat uw verblijf niet aan uw verwachtingen heeft voldaan en dat u zoveel ongemak heeft ervaren.
Wat betreft de stroomuitval: wij hebben momenteel geen kennis van een algemeen elektrisch probleem in het hotel, afgezien van een eventuele incidentele spanningsdip. Het is mogelijk — maar we kunnen dit uiteraard niet met zekerheid zeggen — dat een apparaat met een hoog stroomverbruik in de kamer hieraan heeft bijgedragen. In ieder geval begrijpen wij dat herhaaldelijke stroomuitval erg vervelend en verontrustend is.
Wat betreft de genoemde geuroverlast, vinden wij het uiteraard jammer dat u dit zo heeft ervaren. Tegelijkertijd is het voor ons enigszins opmerkelijk, aangezien wij hierover geen vergelijkbare opmerkingen van andere gasten hebben ontvangen. Uiteraard nemen wij uw ervaring desondanks serieus en zullen wij hier aandacht aan besteden.
Nogmaals onze oprechte excuses voor het ongemak en bedankt dat u uw opmerkingen met ons heeft gedeeld. Wij nemen uw feedback ter harte en zullen de genoemde punten intern verder opvolgen.

GREAT LOCATION, COMFORTABLE ROOMS, GOOD BREAKFASTS
We were here for four nights (upgraded from the sister hotel Rocafort due to unforeseen circumstances) and had a lovely stay. Both rooms were comfortable, clean, quiet, well-maintained and with tea/coffee making facilities in each room. Staff at the reception wewre consistently friendly and helpful with both general and more specific enquiries. The location was excellent, within walking distance of Gaudi attractions and 5 minutes from the Metro. A good choice of restaurants were close at hand too. We were particularly impressed with the breakfast area (indoor and outside) and how "sustainability" manifested itself each day: quality produce on offer - not in vast quantities but replenished if and when necessary. As with other hotels, it is on the pricey side (if you pay the full fee) but to be recommended.

The hotel is well located on a beautiful and clean street. Staff is professional and helpful even if they were a bit clinical. The hotel itself was clean and well lit. The maid who cleaned the room was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel had a nice cafe and a bar. However, I never saw anyone operating the bar. One thing that was advertised that was not true was the airport shuttle. A person needs to find their own transportation from the airport to the hotel.

The facilities are great. Very clean. The breakfast buffet is also very good. They even had fresh chocolate covered donuts, which i ate wayyyyy too many of. The best part however was the staff. We stayed in several hotels during our 30 day journey across Europe and the staff of this hotel stands out as the most friendly and helpful.
