Excellent the location it is amazing

The location is super every thing walk-in distance from the airport take aero bus to plaza Catalunya go straight to plaza urquinaona the sing is it in the side of the door share bathroom and shower you have a sink in your room it is small but comfortable has a window for lighting very clean the elevator is too old and funny but make the work at It is in the 3rd floor
Has many bakeries restaurants market one in the corner is open 24hs I really recommend if you need some economic in a great place

Better to stay at home.

STAY HOME RATHER! Dirty and arrogant staff! Before 2pm there is no possibility of having the room.
If you are on the road side it is impossible not to wake up in the middle of the night or early in the morning even with the windows closed as the road is just below. Poorly maintained, broken windows. And they had also left some dirt in the room. That said, it's better to stay home. NEVER AGAIN.

Excellent location, normal conditions.

The main motive of the settlement here was the location and price. This guesthouse in a residential building on Placa d'urquinaona is really perfectly located. Just opposite the metro station of the same name and not far from Plaza Catalunya. The price was not low, but there was nothing to choose from in Barcelona in the summer. The living conditions are quite normal . Modest, but normal. This is a large apartment or several apartments divided into several rooms. The administrator is not always present here, so it is necessary to follow the temporary conditions of settlement. The Wi-Fi was working.

Rude and tactless staff using profanity!

I have booked hostel Sant Carlo two weeks before the visit but when I came there the staff told me that I should come after 2 p.m as they had forgotten to clean my room. I said that it is not right and they said that my booking is cancelled because they don’t like my reaction. I was with a child and the staff cried at me and used profanity! I was shocked and told them not to cry as we are from Ukraine and have too many problems. They said that the war doesn’t mean anything to them and they can cry at anyone they don’t like! It is the worst experience in my life and I don’t understand how such rude and tactless people can work on reception! Don’t book this hotel in order to save your nervous system! Crying on a woman with a little child is unacceptable

Good location but that's it

Located a stones throw from Placa da Catalunya but that's about all this place has going for it. We booked a double room with private bathroom and we got sucked back in time to a 1970's bedsit (think of the show Rising Damp if you're old enough).
TV didn't work, shower/bathroom was grimy and only barely functioned. All I can say is that the sheets seemed clean.
This is a €30 per night room at best, not the €90 we were charged. Keep looking unless they drop the prices to match the condition.
