Best location

This hotel is great. The staff are super nice and friendly. The location is great and the mini bar is awesome. I love this hotel and I think it’s not a 3 star hotel. It should be at least a four star hotel and it’s very underrated. I would love to go back to this hotel again and again.

interesting hotel, very old and small elevator lots of doors that required assistance to open. However a lot of charm and friendly helpful staff

It was an older quaint hotel but a little different than the pictures provided. The room was clean, bathroom updated but none of the amenities of American hotels. The shower had only one liquid soap that was used for hair and body, While the room was clean the closet had an odor and therefore we lived out off our suitecases for two days. The taxi dropped us off directly in front of the hotel for check-in but we were not told they could order us a taxi for a specific time on check-out so we had to drag all our luggage down the block and around the corner to the taxi stand area. The free breakfast and 24 hour food available was questionable. The elevator (lift) was definitely scary and I would never use it alone. Doors did not stay open long and one of us usually got caught by the closing doors. Security though was great on the floors were the rooms were located.

We have stayed here before and would recommend it to travelers who want to be in a great location in Barcelona to walk to many of the sites. The hotel rooms are good sized for Europe. AC works well which is important in the summer time. The staff will make sure your needs are met. The breakfast is fair but just having a variety of complimentary food and beverages to snack on all day is a real plus.
We recommend getting a room with a balcony facing away from the Las Ramblas, quieter.

Despite being an older building, this hotel has lots of character. We had a balcony and a view of La Rambla and there was a complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge to enjoy! Security was tight to get to reception and then up to the room via the elevator. There is a free buffet style area where you can choose items for breakfast and throughout the day. They have a great coffee machine and even free draft beer! You can enjoy your meal inside or outside on a shady enclosed courtyard. The hotel is at the top of La Rambla near the Plaça de Catalunya and this is also where the Aerobus stops. Single fare from the airport is a mere 9 Euros - you can’t beat that! There are plenty of shops on La Rambla and a large market which is wonderful to walk around. The cathedral and other landmarks are only a few minutes from the hotel also. Highly recommended!
