Fantastic location

The service was excellent and the location was also great. The rooms were clean and the hot water was immediate and very hot. We were able to leave our luggage there when we arrived and also when we left, which was convenient.

Great location a little to loud.

Location it fantastic. Easy access to metro and la ramblas. The rooms are showing age and small. All single beds in the room. The breakfast was mediocre not much selection. Biggest complaint was the noise at night from the square out front. Had a hard time sleeping. Would not stay here again just for that reason

To choose with eyes closed, really closed and reopen them on the Square

Clean room. Small, devoid of charm, of another age, a "window" overlooking a wall, window fortunately covered by a shutter because a tile was missing. A deplorable soundproofing. A multi-plug extension cord for high-tech.
Breakfast is decent and taken in a not so unsympathetic cellar.
The price (140 euros) is delirious and benefits from the even more delirious hotel market here more than elsewhere.
But its location is its undeniable asset. So to sleep, exhausted by visits, to rest between two long walks, this hotel does the job very well.

Basic but adequate

The hotel is located on a pretty square accessed off one of main streets and is well situated for access to trams, buses and metro. The room we had was not somewhere you would like to spend a great deal of time as it is very basic but we were out all day so only there to shower and sleep. 2 single beds, 1 pillow each and a spare blanket was in wardrobe if you needed it. Towels changed daily. No view to speak of but window was double glazed. Air con was ok - we used it to heat the room. Walls are VERY thin so you can hear everything! Small tv on wall. No hairdryer or fridge but we knew that before we arrived. Breakfast is bread rolls, croissant, yoghurt and cornflakes - no hot food. One coffee machine. Orange juice and water available. There is a small lift but not to first floor. Staff really nice and friendly. The square has restaurants all round it so plenty of choice. Noisy but people just having fun. Only downside was a member of our party enjoys a morning walk - not a good idea before 7.30 as drug dealers offering drugs and ladies of the night offering their services - also large groups of men hanging around but disappear when it gets light - sounds negative but as long as you are careful and sensible we felt pretty safe. All in all it does what it says on the tin and decent for price
