Location Location Location
Lovely spacious 2 bedroom apartment in the perfect location. This apartment is a 1 min walk from the beach, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. It overlooks the Marina, so the view when eating breakfast on the balcony was fabulous. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean, towels were also provided. There is a roof top pool which was cold (time of the year) but we still used it every day. You could message if there was any problems and there was an answer very quickly! Would recommend this apartment.

Malaga at its best? I think not.
I booked this apartment through Casamundo reliant on the photos on their website. I and my husband were not expecting five star luxury but reasonably comfortable, clean, well appointed accommodation. That is NOT what we found: on our arrival (in January) it was freezing despite the two plug-in radiators (one with a broken castor) as the windows forming the bay in the living room did not fit properly and the wind whistled through - one blew open with the wind in the early hours of the second morning due to a faulty catch. The place was dirty throughout and in desperate need of a coat of paint and wall paper was peeling in one bedroom. The washer had to be replaced early in the first week due to a faulty door catch (it was already held together with string) but continued to leak water onto the kitchen floor throughout our stay. The filthy curtains were replaced at my request but did not provide any privacy from the apartment directly opposite. DelParque appear to think that the small repairs they did when I complained addressed the problem. Far from it: the flat needs to be gutted and completely refurbished. We discovered on looking further back in its history that the photos we were relying on were more than 10 years old. I attach recent ones which show the reality and so that you can draw your own conclusions. We were led to believe sheets and towels were included in the price. That transpired to mean the one set of everything provided on arrival - no change of linen and we had booked for 4 weeks! There were no pillow protectors and the mattress protectors were clearly old. Just pray that the previous occupants did not have head lice or scabies! Simple hygiene measures do not seem to be high on the owners agenda. On day two I discovered a stale bread roll and an open pack of butter under a bedroom chair and under the bed had clearly not been cleaned for a considerable time. The outdoor cushions on the 'terrace' had been left out in the rain and were covered in bird droppings so I had to wash them before we could sit out.
Casa Mundo took almost a month to review my complaint and deny liability and DelParque, whilst accepting it was substandard and acknowledging that most of the faults could only be dealt with when we left, denied that any recompense was appropriate. Without doubt two of the worst companies I have encountered in years of renting properties in Spain (and any other country for that matter). It is still being advertised on both sites as " A magnificent Duplex with Terrace in the center of Malaga, where you can rest in a spectacular home, but find yourself at the same time in the center of everything". Nothing short of fraudulent.....

DO NOT STAY HERE
From the very beginning it was a disaster, couldn’t gain entry through a gate to get to the property. Eventually when we did gain entry it was a tired dated apartment which falsely advertised “sea view and a balcony “ neither of which we got. My advice if you want a good holiday do NOT stay here.

Difficult to Gain Entry to this Apartment
It is difficult to find the apartment and gain entry. Our taxi man left us off at the right address but we couldn't find the door nor could anyone we asked help us. We had to ring the company to ask for help. Not a great start when you arrive after a flight! You have to download an app which when activated lets you open the main door and then the apartment door. I have never ever had so many emails from an apartment as this crowd. I counted over 25 emails to me most of which were in relation to the app. It would be far easier to collect keys somewhere. The front door is very stiff and it takes quite a bit of strength to push it open.
The apartment itself is spacious and has a lovely view of the marina. Although they were spotlessly clean, neither of the bathrooms smelt fresh. Perhaps there are plumbing issues as you are not allowed to put any toilet paper in the toilet and flush it away.
The beds were comfortable and there was good storage. The kitchen was well equipped and had a washing machine but some small issues should be sorted out considering the price for rental - only 3 mugs and one was chipped, three cups, two wine glasses of different sizes and very few teaspoons - the ones there looked really old. There were however plenty of plates and bowls.
The rooftop pool has a lovely view and some chairs to lie out on but in October the water was freezing.
