A Happy New Year
Stayed here for the New Year 08/09. We had an apartment with a side sea view which was fab. The location for us couldnt have been better being fans of the Old Town. The place itself is fine. The apartment consisted of a bedroom,living room /kitchen diner, a bathroom and had plenty of wardrobe space. There was a full size fridge with small freezer and the usual equipment. The whole place is a little shabby chic but for a short break its ideal. The reception isnt manned 24hours but the owner lives nearby and can be there in minutes if needed. The towels can be changed every day but you need to take your old ones to her and get clean ones. You do need to empty your rubbish but then we always do if we stay in an apartment. There were some nice little touches like a Christmas tree , fairy lights and a nativity scene in our apartment which we thought was cute! For the price we paid it was excellent and we'd stay again.

FILTHY TIP
location was excellent,apartments look fab from the exterior but inside is another story.
the bedrooms are like prison cells and the facilites are fillthy,reception was unmanned and there was the same cigarette end for the whole week.
the balconny was unsafe as it was wobbily ,shame as it had potential from the outside.
if you want to go buy cleaning products and enjoy.

UNFORTUNATELY MISLED BY TRIPADVISOR REVIEWS
We arrived by car for our 2 night, mid-holiday stay (we stayed in Torrevieja for the rest of our holiday). The location and exterior of the apartments was 1st rate. Coupled with the very favourable reviews, researched on this very site, we were delighted - until we stepped inside our apartment!! There was an immediate smell of stale air and damp - indeed the "bath (which would fit a fully stretched 1 year old)" had black mould around the sealant. My wife's first word in summary was "rank". However, once we'd aired the room via the two full length french doors and blasted the air con while we went out for a drink, it was not too bad. Please don't be misled by the positive reviews on this site. The rooms are no more than adequate if you want a base in which to merely sleep. If you want to actually cook in the room, I would suggest a thorough clean (to your own standards) is first required. Location wise, we could not have picked a better spot. On the cusp of Levante and Poniente Beaches, 5 mins walk to the Old Town, which makes Benidorm memorable. The other end of Levante Beach is inhabited by the worst kind of British lager lout which we did our best to avoid. The show at Benidorm Palace was the highlight of our stay and I would reccommend Benidorm if only for that and the Old Town.
