Great location to explore Bilbao from

We stayed here for 2 nights to start our Basque adventure. The staff were very friendly, the room was lovely and the breakfast was very good. It is well located on the edge of the old city opposite the food market. Ideal location for wandering the 7 streets, using the trams and getting around Bilbao. Would highly recommend.

This was a very disappointing experience.
When I arrived late at night after a flight, I discovered that the hotel had scheduled a water shutdown between 00:00 and 04:00. As a result, I was unable to shower, brush my teeth, or even access drinking water after a long journey.
Had I been informed about this in advance, I would have chosen a different hotel. Unfortunately, despite raising the issue with the hotel, they declined to offer any form of compensation or acknowledge the inconvenience caused.
Clear communication about planned maintenance that significantly affects basic amenities is essential, especially for guests arriving late. I cannot recommend staying here based on this experience.

Incredible hotel in Bilbao old town

Hidden from, but in the middle of, the busy streets of Bilbao old town, this boutique hotel is beautifully decorated. Warm welcome of the host, well furbished rooms, good bed and good water pressure in the showers. The black and gold library style decoration looks amazing. Make sure to try breakfast, the à la carte tortilla, crisp on the outside and runny inside, is great. Good price / quality, will definitely go back here if back in Bilbao.

We had a fantastic stay at GOIEN Boutique Hotel and would definitely return.
The hotel is exceptionally stylish and beautifully designed, with great attention to detail. Everything feels brand new and creates a very special atmosphere. The rooms were extremely comfortable, especially the beds, which ensured a great night's sleep.
Despite being located right in the heart of Bilbao's Old Town, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The overall comfort and feel-good factor of this hotel is outstanding. Considering the quality, design, and service, the value for money is simply unbeatable.
A truly wonderful boutique hotel that we would highly recommend and happily book again on our next visit to Bilbao.

Only had one night but wish we had longer. Everything was great, good quality, super clean and spacious room, staff very helpful. Will definitely be back to make more of this great hotel I the future.
