Highly recommended hotel

Good hotel, clean and with spacious rooms. Excellent location, quiet and close to a public parking lot

Great location but be cautious.

Check in was efficient and pleasant staff. The hotel has no pool. The rooms are a little worn out. Hotel has a bar and restaurant. The à/c in my room didn’t work. I didn’t bother asking for a new room.
It’s a wonderful location for restaurants and shopping. I would caution many tourists there is a high risk of getting your pocket picked or watch taken. I personally witnessed a group trying to set me up for my Rolex. I alerted the hotel ànd they don’t employ any security.
Overall à 3.5 /5.0 hotel. The staff are wonderful and speak different languages.

Great breakfast, nice large bedroom, but shame about the view

We stayed two nights at the NH Collection Villa de Bilbao hotel at the end of our fly/drive tour of northern Spain. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of most attractions. It has large modern bedrooms - we were given a room with a walk-in shower, as requested. However, there was a building opposite with windows directly overlooking our room and apart from blackout curtains, our room had no roller blind or net curtains so we just kept our curtains closed all the time - not impressed by this at all. The bed was a comfortable king (150cm) but with cheap pillows that are too firm. The breakfast was very good, with an excellent egg station in the restaurant. Great selection of fresh fruit, breads and pastries. The hotel has its own allocated underground garage, that can be accessed via the hotels internal lifts. However, although convenient, the overnight cost is €28 so pretty pricey. The hall carpet was stained which made it look a bit grotty. We would recommend this hotel and be happy to stay again, however I’d request a room overlooking the front of the building.

I do not recommend it unless you spend money on their parking.

I was at a children's soccer tournament in June that took place in Bilbao. When I arrived, I asked about the parking and I was not interested. The surprise came when I received a ticket for entering a low emissions zone, as the hotel is located in that area and no one from the hotel informed me of this fact. When I called the hotel to request documentation that I stayed there, they told me that since I did not park the vehicle in the parking lot, they could not provide it. That is why I do not recommend this hotel, unless you park your vehicle in the hotel parking, because otherwise you will receive a ticket and they will not justify your stay on the date of the ticket.

Excellent location in Bilbao

Although the location and breakfast have been excellent and we have also had breakfast in few places, the disappointment of having chosen the room on the sixth floor, which can be done through the website, and being assigned a rather shabby room on the second floor, the lack of soundproofing in the room, and the condition of the room with chipped baseboards and ceilings have made me only give it three stars.

Lamentamos sinceramente que su experiencia con la asignación de la habitación y el confort no haya estado a la altura de lo esperado. Entendemos lo importante que es contar con un espacio tranquilo y en perfecto estado para descansar, y sentimos que no lo percibiera así en esta ocasión.
También lamentamos si el ruido exterior perturbó su descanso. Nuestro hotel se encuentra en la avenida más emblemática y concurrida de la ciudad, siempre llena de vida, y somos conscientes de que esto puede influir en la tranquilidad. En una próxima visita, con gusto podremos orientarle hacia una tipología de habitación más silenciosa para favorecer su descanso.
