Great location

Very beautiful hotel located in an old palace at the foot of the walls and directly on the cathedral and the Plaza Mayor; prefer this square in your GPS guidance to avoid a labyrinthine route! Charming welcome, very beautiful room, pretty little pool nestled at the foot of the walls. However, the hotel bar seemed closed and one of our two rooms suffered from a somewhat sloppy preparation (no water, empty tea tray...) but that is a detail. Welcome at breakfast a bit authoritarian and breakfast itself below the standards of 4* Spanish hotels. Scavenger hunt to find a parking space for the night.

Very nice hotel

Very pleasant stay, the reception and breakfast staff were all very kind and charming. The room was spectacular with many details, water bottles, coffee maker, with views of the square, large bathroom with shower and bathtub. Very good breakfast, natural juice... there is a lot of variety and many things. The pool is not very big, but it is fine for cooling off. Very good location, practically in the square. I did not use the parking; we parked outside the old town, a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The very beautiful hotel is a palace.

Highly recommended

Central, comfortable, and functional. Very friendly and professional staff.
The pool and its views give it a special touch.
The only downside is the parking, which is uncomfortable and not easily accessible

Good hotel in a central location

We had a pleasant stay at the Palacio Santa Marta. Because I had previously inquired via email about how to get to the hotel and parking, the arrival was straightforward, even though the hotel is located in the old town on a narrow alley.
The service was good, the room was large, and the breakfast was adequate. The location is very good as all the sights can be reached quickly on foot.
I do not give five stars because the air conditioning in the room was ineffective—it did not really cool, there were only six loungers by the pool, and it was unbearably hot in the breakfast room, especially in the area where the buffet was set up.

An excellent place to take a break on the journey.

Hotel excellently located 20 meters from the main square in an 18th-century palace. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Extremely pleasant with good service and value for money.
The only negative point is that the quality and variety of the breakfast are clearly improvable.
