Perfect Family Holiday!
We had a wonderful stay at Maspalomas Canary Sunset with our kids. The bungalows are spacious, clean, and well equipped, and the pool area is just perfect for families. Our children loved the playground and the safe environment — we could truly relax while they had fun.
The staff were very friendly and always ready to help. The location is great too — quiet and peaceful, yet close to shops, restaurants, and the beach.
We definitely recommend this place for families looking for a relaxing and sunny holiday in Gran Canaria. We’ll be back for sure! ☀️️

You must avoid it. Slums and dishonesty
A horrible experience because of the dirt, and the dilapidation of the place. There are cockroaches and some even say there are bedbugs. Nauseating smells. Cigarettes thrown all over the floor in the residence. Pool staff screaming at guests. The reception and the owner obviously refuse any refund and are even threatening. To flee

Terrible
Very disappointing 6-day stay due to the lack of basic services, maintenance management, and problems with the security deposit. I am detailing the objective facts of my experience so that other travelers are warned:
Nonexistent cleaning and hygiene during the stay: In 6 days of lodging, there was no towel change or cleaning service. The establishment's policy forces the guest to take care of taking out the trash and to go personally to reception carrying the dirty towels if they want a replacement, something unacceptable for a tourist complex.
Unresolved wasp infestation: The adjacent bungalow had an active wasp hive that constantly invaded our terrace. The administration's response was to wash their hands of it, claiming that the neighboring bungalow was private, ignoring the obvious safety risk and the lack of habitability this created in ours.
Poor maintenance and rudeness: The apartment's drying rack was completely broken upon our arrival. I had to request a new one at reception up to 5 times. When they finally brought it, the staff's treatment was inappropriate. (Note to management: Save yourselves from responding by claiming that I broke the drying rack, as you usually do to evade your responsibility; the object was already unusable from the first minute of my arrival).
Irregular retention of security deposit: They require a €100 security deposit payment by card. Despite leaving the bungalow in perfect condition, the establishment never performed the manual release procedure. After consulting directly with my bank, they confirmed that there was no refund order on their part, and I had to wait for the temporary hold from my bank to expire on its own after the corresponding days had passed.
I do not recommend this accommodation. The lack of maintenance, the zero customer service, and the handling of the deposits leave much to be desired.

Disappointment
A shame, the bungalows were in terrible condition and dirty, with continuous arguments at the pools, definitely not to repeat...

Weekly trip
Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately below expectations. The overall condition of the room was worn and did not match the presentation in the photos. Cleanliness was a significant issue: the room was dusty, the refrigerator had not been cleaned after previous guests, and several kitchen and bathroom drawers and cabinets were also unclean.
Service levels were inadequate. Despite requesting additional pillows and some basic kitchen items, these were never provided, and it required repeated follow‑ups to receive any form of assistance. Throughout our entire week-long stay, no cleaning or towel replacement was carried out.
Although the online check‑in process was smooth, the information provided upon arrival was insufficient. Key details—such as the restaurant being closed on Sundays and Mondays, or that the gate code would be changed during our stay—were not communicated. As a result, we found ourselves locked out of the property with the reception already closed. Basic instructions on waste disposal were also missing, leaving us to rely on other guests for guidance.
Despite these shortcomings, the hotel does have potential. The pool area was well maintained, and the restaurant staff provided a pleasant experience.
