The best option in the area
A fantastic hotel, very clean, pleasant, a great breakfast, I had a family problem and had to leave early, they didn't have any issues with it, I will definitely return, the staff was very, very attentive and kind, a 10 out of 10 hotel, I recommend it.

A beautiful hotel on the Costa Brava to recommend for its comfort, restoration and excellent value for money.
We stayed from 12 to 13 November 2025 at this hotel which we had booked last minute. This 4-star hotel is currently rated 3.3 out of 5 on Tripadvisor as Boutique Hotel Comtal Empuries and 4.0 out of 5 under its former name Allioli Boutique Hotel and Spa.
We find recent negative reviews rather unfair compared to our experience.
Our booking made directly on the hotel website a few days before our arrival was quick and we got the best price compared to the rates offered by the internet booking sites.
The hotel located a few km from Roses in the commercial area of Castello Nou, close to the C-260 is easily found with a GPS. It has ample private parking and there is also room for parking nearby on the street. We were greeted at the reception by two friendly employees, one of whom spoke French very well. A welcome drink (cava) was offered during the check-in formalities. We received an upgrade from a standard superior room. It was of a correct size, bright, well soundproofed from outside noise and very clean. The bed was a real king size bed (bed base and mattress) and it was very comfortable (not too firm or too soft). Pillows and linens were quality. The TV equipping the room was an LG TV with access to a package including many French channels which is quite rare in Spain. The decor was modern with led lighting at bed level and ceiling. The room had ample storage space, a minibar with drinks, a Nespresso coffee machine and a functional safe. The bathroom was equipped with a nice basin with an integrated led mirror, and a large Italian shower. Our room (number 104) was located on the 1st floor. It was perfectly standard of a 4 star hotel in France. The upstairs hallway was nicely decorated as was the restaurant room where breakfast was also served in the morning.
We had booked half board and did well because the dinner was gourmet. The dishes offered were refined and hearty, with perfect cooking for the main dishes made by the two cooks seen working from the dining room. If the wait between dishes was long that evening (3-course meal with an amuse bouche lasted two hours) because there were many people for a single waitress helped by the person who welcomed us at the restaurant, we were certain that it was not industrial food but fresh products prepared by real cooks, which unfortunately becomes increasingly rare even in a 4 star.
All the dishes of the dinner were delicious and I particularly enjoyed the shrimp capaccio.
The breakfast buffet was of the same standard, with many varieties both sweet and savory, with simple but qualitative products (charcuterie, cheese, pastries and local pastries, fruits). Excellent coffee, tea, juice, water, cava. We have not tested the spa or outdoor pool.
In conclusion, this is a hotel we liked very much for the quality of its restoration, the comfort of the room and an exceptional value for money for its services. Apart from the immediate environment which is admittedly not very top (there is nothing to see nearby except a supermarket, and the hotel is 10-15 minutes from Roses beach or the historic center of Castell Empurio), this hotel seems perfect for a quiet and pleasant stay of a few days on the Costa Brava enjoying the Spanish Catalan cuisine. Congratulations to the manager and all his staff for the excellent running of this hotel-restaurant and for their welcome. We will gladly return to this property when we travel to Spain in the coming months.

Great hotel with excellent restaurant
Nice, small hotel, located just outside Castello d’Empùries. Within walking distance (via convenient tunnel under busy track) of the center (10 minutes). Ample parking (paying), but there is also parking on the public domain. Friendly welcome. Comfortable rooms with excellent, large bed. Spacious bathroom, which however is not so practical. Small downsides: very low placed tout, shower tap without thermostat. Delicious breakfast, (nice bread!), buffet is constantly restocked. Excellent restaurant! Limited spa, (maximum 6 people), where it is careful of the slippery floor.

Excellent, lovely hotel, quiet place for couple getaway.
Spectacular rooms, our suite with phenomenal jacuzzi all very clean. Very friendly and attentive staff and the restaurant the meal of 10.
