A treasure in Celanova

We could not be better: the very family friendly, the beautiful and very nice hotel, the great breakfast, in that super-kept and beautiful garden. It is very well located, in the center of Celanova and you can see that they pay close attention to small details. Luz, in charge, is a love of person. We'll definitely be back.

Superbly balanced historic charm with all the modern features.

Luz Maria the hotel Director runs a very impressive operation which is most welcoming while providing top level service and accommodations not usually found in smaller Spanish cities, especially at these reasonable rates.
Luz and the Acouga hotel are Celanova treasures.

A boutique hotel and a restful, relaxing one

A special mention for Luz, so welcoming and friendly and so proud of her hotel who showed us on arrival how to find the free public car park just behind. Excellent value, the hotel itself thoroughly lived up to its name. Light and airy and modern in all respects yet still making use of the traditional materials recuperated from the building's construction over 100 years ago. Bedrooms have the typical ceiling to floor windows, with 2 layers of blinds at the touch of a switch.
Breakfast, looking out over an equally well designed and restful walled garden, was generous: coffee, teas, fresh orange juice, cereals, fruits, bread/toast, local cheeses, ham, yoghurt, cakes.
Celanova, a town untroubled so far by tourism, is well worth visiting for its historic centre and monastery and its unassuming pride in itself.

Dream stay in a place with history

On the one hand, note that the location of the hotel is unbeatable since it is in the historic center of Celanova next to the Plaza Mayor.
It is a beautiful hotel as it is an old building completely rehabilitated (with pleasure).
As for the staff, it is unbeatable, at all times watchful of its guests making you feel at home. Especially Luz, director of the hotel and soul of it.
