Economic

Very good location to move around the port of castellon close to everything, completely digital hotel everything is done online there are no visible staff in the establishment. If you have a good command of the computer science recommended to spend the night at an economical price

unless you have google translate dont ask any questions

a nice clean hotel, 5 of us used it for the fib festival, we had a triple room with we only got 1 key for and had to be put to reception on leaving the hotel, as did the double room. the man at reception could talk NO english what so ever had to use the computer most of the time to ask him if there was taxis or buses to benicasim. also was very rude and abrupt. will defo not be going back to this hotel. a bit of politeness goes a long way

Just right!

Stayed here when visiting for the Benicassim festival. Perfect location for the bus to the festival, much better than camping! Nothing fancy but all you need to crash out after a (very)
late night. Staff very friendly. Didn't ever make breakfast so can't comment on that! Lovely area with restaurants, bars, beach and supermarket all on hand. We hired a car which made life much easier. Cheap and cheerful and all you need.

Great little hotel

I meant to write this review just after we stayed in July...
Overall, we thought it was a great little hotel. We didn't expect anything more than a budget hotel, but it was better than expected!
The staff were friendly and tried to help where possible in English. We found the surrounding area to be very Spanish, and Spanish speaking which was great! - never keen when a Spanish town is basically an English town in the sun.
The rooms were budget but clean and modern, and had everything you needed.
The location was lovely... Nice bars near the port 5 min walk away and a huge supermarket 2 mins away. The beach was so clean and beautiful (10 min walk).
We stayed for Benicasssim festival, only 15/20 mins by shuttle bus/ taxi to get to festival site! Would definitely stay again, even without the festival being on!
Oh, the breakfasts were amazing too, with fresh juice, coffee, croissants, toast, cheese, meat and fruits. Such good value! Definitely stay here, it's got all you need.

Great location and staff, very basic otherwise

My wife and I stayed at Port Azahar in August 2013 and we thought the location of the hotel was perfect to hit the beach, local restaurants, casino and shops. ( Mercadona a few minutes walk). This is really the main asset of the hotel as otherwise this is a low 2 star hotel in terms of facilities and equipment in the room. Really basic and the air con cannot be controlled and is set not very high and the issue is if you leave your windows open, it will get very noisy. Small room and not very practical bathroom. However, room cleaning was good, always done in the morning, staff very kind and helpful.( we forgot to buy a bottle of water late at night and the owner kindly gave us one for free ). Finally breakfast could be better but again this is what you would get in a 2* hotel although it is true from previous comment that coffee is pretty awful and they could do something about it !
To sum it up, do book this hotel if you are on a tight budget and not to mind a basic hotel although its good location is a real bonus.
