A wonderful experience.

We had wanted to visit Guadalupe for a long time and stay at the Hospedería del Monasterio. We loved it. It is beautiful, and the staff is very professional and very kind at the same time. We also had lunch and breakfast at the restaurant. Everything was very tasty, and the service was perfect.

History among insects.

Beautiful surroundings and a very old room in keeping with the building; access to it is not suitable for people with physical limitations, as there are several flights of stairs. Once inside, we had a night to remember, but we ended up with our bodies covered in small bites from some unknown insect. The breakfast was quite complete, and we enjoyed it a lot... once we stopped scratching the bites.

Disappointing

My experience with the lodging of the Monastery of Guadalupe was quite disappointing. Although the place is beautiful and of enormous historical value, the policy of not allowing pet access is very unsympathetic and outdated. Today, many travelers consider our pets as part of the family, and finding accommodations that accept them is becoming more common.
No alternative or solution is offered for those who travel with animals, demonstrating a lack of adaptation to the current needs of visitors. This rigidity mars what could have been a pleasant stay and makes one feel unwelcome from the start.
Ultimately, it’s a shame that a site with so much potential loses customers for not modernizing its rules. I would not recommend lodging to people traveling with pets, as the experience begins with a refusal rather than hospitality.

What a wonderful stay

Absolutely wonderful! We stayed 2 nights here and Absolutely loved it! The guy at reception let us park our motorbike right at the door, away from the cars.
Our room was absolutely beautiful, we loved it.
The hotel itself is just so peaceful and beautiful to walk around.
We ate both days at the restaurant. The food was amazing. The staff so friendly.
We absolutely loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.

History is expensive

We went to Guadeloupe 2 couples and wanted to eat at the Hospederia, because of its environment.
The experience was not very positive, the roasted goat's leg, without any point of comparison with a Castilian roast, but it was also not good, as well as the scrambled morel, could serve as preparations for a colonoscopy
