A Complete Disappointment
This hotel has potential, but it should not be open to paying guests yet.
The property is clearly unfinished, and unfortunately the lack of preparation shows in every aspect of the experience. The staff is very friendly and try their best, but they are clearly untrained. The in-room welcome staff didn’t seem to know where they were supposed to be or what they were expected to do.
In the restaurant, our orders were wrong several times, sometimes three or four times during the same meal, turning our breakfast into a frustrating experience every day.
The breakfast buffet was surprisingly limited for a hotel in this price range. On our last morning they had run out of basic items such as smoked salmon, bacon, and even kiwis.
The rooms are dark, humid, dusty, and not cleaned to an acceptable standard. There are no hooks to hang towels in the bathroom, no telephone, no television, no alternative pillow options, and even the lights on the stairs leading to the rooftop terrace were not working.
Many facilities are still incomplete. The pool showers do not work, the beach has neither sun loungers nor towels available, and the gym is unfinished.
This hotel has the potential to become a lovely property once everything is completed and the staff have been properly trained. However, until then, charging full luxury hotel rates is simply unjustified. We left feeling that we had paid premium prices to stay in what is essentially still a hotel that should’t be opened.

Complete disappointment
We spent five nights at Nomad Temple Ibiza last week and, unfortunately, our stay was a complete disappointment. While the staff genuinely tried their best and remained friendly throughout, almost nothing worked as it should. For a hotel in this price category, that is simply unacceptable.
The junior suite itself was beautifully designed, but we had booked it for three people. The sofa bed intended for our almost grown-up son was not suitable as a bed at all. There wasn’t even a mattress topper—he was essentially sleeping on a very hard sofa. We paid the full room rate, so this was extremely disappointing. In addition, the room was not properly cleaned, and we had to wait a full day just to receive basic amenities such as bathrobes and hand soap.
The food in all restaurants was actually very good. Unfortunately, not a single order over the course of five days was delivered correctly. Every meal involved several conversations to finally receive what we had ordered. Drinks and dishes regularly arrived late, multiple times, or not at all.
The hotel itself feels unfinished. The gym was very small, poorly equipped and surprisingly dirty. Even more bizarre, the cardio machines were positioned facing blank walls instead of the windows overlooking the surroundings. On two mornings there wasn’t even any drinking water available in the gym until we asked. The spa was closed.
The beach is another major disappointment. It looks nothing like the promotional photos. Instead of a beautiful sandy beach, you find a rather dirty pebble beach without sunbeds or towels. There are far nicer beaches in the north of Ibiza.
We had frequent contact with the Guest Relations team, who were always kind, apologetic and genuinely trying to help. In fact, we often felt sorry for the employees because they seemed completely overwhelmed and under enormous pressure. However, that cannot be the guests’ problem. People come here expecting a relaxing holiday and pay premium prices for a five-star experience.
Unfortunately, this did not feel like normal opening issues. It felt as though many employees had little or no professional hotel or restaurant experience. Some staff members struggled to communicate in English, and overall there seemed to be a lack of organisation, training and leadership.
If you’re looking for a luxury hotel in this area, I would currently recommend the neighbouring Six Senses instead. It is much better organised, offers a superior location and delivers the level of service you would expect in this price category.
Nomad Temple has beautiful architecture and a lot of potential, but at the moment it is simply not ready to operate as a luxury hotel.

Disappointing stay - not the five-star experience advertised
We recently stayed at Nomade Temple Ibiza after booking what was advertised as a five-star luxury hotel. Unfortunately, our experience fell well short of those expectations.
Firstly, I want to stress that this review is not aimed at the staff. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, welcoming and did their best to help. In particular, Jessica, the restaurant manager, dealt with issues professionally whenever they arose, and Juan Manuel, who served around the pool, was exceptional. They were genuine highlights of our stay. Our disappointment lies with the hotel’s management and the decision to open before it appeared to be fully operational.
There were several significant issues during our stay:
* The air conditioning could not be set below 21°C, making the room uncomfortable in the Ibiza heat and resulting in several poor nights’ sleep.
* There was no spa or gym, despite these facilities being advertised. Had we known they would not be available, we would have booked elsewhere.
* Only one restaurant was open, with a very limited menu. Even basic items such as pizzas were unavailable, and we ended up leaving the hotel to eat in town or at Six Senses Ibiza because there was so little choice.
* Breakfast was repetitive throughout the week, with very little variety. Food (such as meats and cheeses) was left out unrefrigerated and uncovered.
* Food quality was inconsistent, including being served raw burgers on more than one occasion. The food would also take an extraordinarily long time to come out.
* Our room didn’t match the advertised amenities, including having no television.
* The in-room tablet contained inaccurate information, making it difficult to know what service and restaurant options were actually available.
* We booked the hotel’s stargazing experience after being told it would take place on the private beach. We arrived before the scheduled start time, waited over 20 minutes and nobody turned up.
The biggest disappointment wasn’t just the individual issues, it was the lack of transparency before our stay. Had we been told that the spa, gym and other advertised facilities were unavailable, or that the dining options would be so limited, we would have cancelled our booking and stayed elsewhere. Instead, we only discovered the extent of these issues after arriving.
This was our third trip to Ibiza, and we’ve previously stayed at other five-star hotels on the island. Unfortunately, Nomade Temple did not deliver the standard of facilities, amenities or overall experience that we’d expect from a hotel marketed as five-star.
The hotel has real potential, and the staff deserve credit for working hard under what seemed to be difficult circumstances. However, management needs to be much more transparent about unavailable facilities and ensure the hotel is ready before marketing it as a luxury destination.
We contacted the hotel directly to give them the opportunity to address our concerns before leaving a public review, but unfortunately we have not received any acknowledgement or response.

Wow
The staff were very nice and friendly but had no idea on service and had no direction whatsoever leading to missed orders at breakfast, long waits for everyone. Unfinished resort with limited facilities and rooms. Building dust everywhere.
The rooms have no locking patio doors No where to hang your wet towels or dry towels. No shower gel or hand wash. Full minibar and no bottle opener a kettle and nothing else including cups. No tv, no phone to reception, housekeeping. Communication all done through WHATSAPP. The iPad in the room kept losing power. I was charged twice for my stay and had to show my bank statement for the staff to understand and believe me before it was quickly cancelled.
In short I was not rested or restored more like stressed and disappointed.
