A warm address just a stone’s throw from the Cathedral
We thought we knew La Seu d’Urgell by heart! well no... This haven of peace is magnificently well positioned in the center of this magnificent city. The apartment is large, warm and very well appointed with a safe and original taste. No Ikea here, only furniture and antique objects. And for rainy or snowy days, two pellet stoves which make you want to take the time, after the traditional market at the foot of the building (Tuesday and Saturday).

Descriptions on the booking site do not portray the true position
The descriptions on the booking site give the impression there is a 24 hour front reception desk. The reality is that there is no one at all on site. Access is by key code at the front door which is okay providing arrangements are made to provide access information ahead of arrival. This is not difficult with booking.com secure messaging but this information is not provided and you are left ringing a mobile outside the front door to obtain the necessary access codes. You are then asked to send a photo of your passports and your home address details via WhatsApp once in the room, so make sure you have this app loaded if you want to stay here. This really is quite messy.
The rooms advertised are all the same price so we assumed these would be of a similar size and facilities. We booked a ‘superior room with balcony’. The room itself was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. There is a spacious shower with plenty of hot water. The only negative was the size of the main room which appeared considerably smaller than others to the extent that a suitcase could not be laid flat in the room, fortunately we were travelling light so this wasn't so much of a problem but would not have liked to stay here longer than one night.
For a short stay the room was perfectly adequate and is conveniently located in the old town, 24 hour free parking is available within a five minute walk from Groc Rooms.

A good stay in a nice location
Groc Rooms - Top Tip : ( They have a website showing the rooms that gives much better information and pictures than you get on a booking site - search for it before choosing your room - we wish we had done this).
We had a short one night stay at Groc Rooms in the small Catalan town of la Seu d'Urgell, just outside Andorra.
There are several different rooms that you have the option of, but we chose the double room. It was bijou ( 12sqm from the above website ) but ok for a night.
The check in was by face book messenger, and we were sent a key code to enter the building, and another code for collection of the keys from a small box on the entrance hall wall.
There is some street parking on the one way street, but it is limited to about an hour (2€) on the one way street. However there is free parking after 8pm till 9am the following morning so this was fine ( additional free 24 h parking is available near - probably about 500 m away out of town )
Taking the lift to the third floor, we gained access to the entrance to the shared corridor ( another letting room was off this and a kitchen area that we could not use ) and a second key unlocked our room.
The room was clean and tidy, with an on-suite and shower . Towels and some sachets of lotions were provided. A refillable glass bottle of water and two glass drinking tumblers was in the room - but no coffee !
It is a lovely location in a recently ( guess 2017 ) conversion of a Spanish town centre shop /house. There are shops all along the street and a market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The area has a number of restaurants and bars.
The wifi code was on the wall in a picture frame. The speed was good. The room could have done with either a fan or air conditioning and a desk / chair for work / planning space. However there was plenty of available pug sockets for phone and laptop charging. If we were there more than one night this would have been a problem. Next time we stay ( and we will ) we will make sure we get one the larger rooms.
We had a small problem at the start of the stay, and after a few messages by the internet, it was sorted when the host attended. If we had not had this problem, it would have been quite possible that we would not have seen the host as the rooms are set up to be managed by distance. This is not a problem, but nice to know for future reference.
Check out was easy. We just left the keys in the box on the wall and vacated.
Top Tip : The rooms are on a one way street. We found it easier to locate the rooms by walking then to drive past to unload then back to the car park. Market is on a Tuesday morning outside so no car access ( same for Saturday ).

Falta mucho mantenimiento. El Loft está bastante dejado
Ya nos habíamos alojado en mayo en uno de los apartamentos, y esta vez optamos por el loft. Bastante caro para lo que ofrece. Está muy falto de mantenimiento y muy estropeado (paredes sucias que necesitan pintarse, muebles estropeados, sillón con cremalleras rotas). Suciedad (los cojines MUY SUCIOS, el horno MUY SUCIO, sobre la campana, bajo el sillón, sobre la nevera), la lencería de cama con agujeros , la vajilla escasa e incompleta... Además faltan detalles y atención: un estropajo sin usar para cada nuevo inquilino, no dejar una sola pastilla de lavaplatos para 1 semana, papel higiénico de repuesto, un par de bolsas de basura, azúcar, lavavajillas.... Es una pena. Un sitio con ubicación perfecta y que ha conocido tiempos mejores.

Buena ubicación, limpieza mejorable
Habitaciones con muy buena ubicación con un parking gratuito a 5 minutos andando. El check in lo realizas tú solo. La limpieza es bastante mejorable. La ducha no parecía estar hecha a fondo... la tele no tenía mando.
