This small, family-run hotel is situated on the banks of the River Bidasoa, on the Irun-Elizondo Green Route. Its heated rooms offer mountain views and there is also a free Wi-Fi zone. All rooms feature a simple décor with tiled floors and wooden furniture. Each includes a TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Some rooms include a spa bath. Staff at Bereau Hotel are happy to provide more information about hiking and cycling trails in the surrounding area. The hotel is within 30-40 minutes’ drive of the caves of Zugrramurdi and Urdax, and Señorío de Bértiz is 20 km away. The Basque seaside towns of Irun and Hendaye are 14 km away, and Biarritz can be reached in 35 minutes by car. San Sebastian’s spectacular beaches are a 30-minute drive away. A fantastic option to rest, halfway along the Bidasoa Greenway

Cozy rural hotel, in the heart of the Greenway of Bidasoa, located just halfway between Doneztebe and Irun/Hendaya. Paqui is a charm and traveling with children the apartments are absolutely recommended: full kitchen, lounge size bathroom, floor size lounge. Bikes safely stored, car parked on the doorstep with ease, direct bike access to the Via, Eurovelo 1. And quiet these nights, quiet area, don't call gas station and trucks a hoax, a priori deterrent. A good choice, and you feel at home.

Dated and with very poor breakfast

Very basic and very old hotel, the rooms are not bad, but we are at the limit of acceptability.
All very dated.
Environment and family management.
Really bad points: anti-theft noise during the night, activated you do not know where / how and then breakfast embarrassing to say the least.
Mini packaged muffins and mini packaged snacks, no yogurt no fruit no biscuits no rusks, no alternative products.
They bring a plate of jamon y queso with toast.
Liquid and low quality jams.
Isolated and super peripheral location with totally inadequate and high price.

Basic and old-fashioned hotel

Hotel too old-fashioned for price and location as it is in the middle of the road.
It would improve in the room, put mosquito nets, as the river is very close and there were many bugs.
As for breakfast, I would put some more variety.

Value for money hotel

A basic hotel in an unattractive location, but value for money. There was free Wi-Fi and drinks and food were very cheap. I think it might be difficult if you didn't speak basic Spanish, as I didn't come across anyone who spoke English.

Great small hotel, just off the beaten track.

Spent a night here when travelling down from France to Spain and it's a great place to stay, a real hidden gem. Rooms are spotlessly clean, fantastic shower rooms, etc. It is definitely worthwhile eating in as well, myself and friends had a great tasting meal for a very reasonable price. They do their own hotel labelled Patxaran, the local "hooch" which is well worth both trying and buying!
