Very good experience.
Beautiful hotel with a lot of charm. Very kind. They are very helpful for making plans and getting to know the area.

Price/quality could be better
For those who opt for the peace: great location! Reception OK, but limited knowledge of English language. What is much less: the rooms. On the ground floor, with terrace but quite small, humid and clammy. When a drawer was opened, the moist smell came up so we couldn't use it. Everything that remained in our suitcases also had the musty, clammy smell. The humidity can also be seen in the doors and other woodwork in the room. Breakfast: sober. For the price of 15 eur/pp we had different expectations of artisan breakfast. Bits of cheese, ham, jam (even jar of mold), egg but nothing special. That's not worth 15 euros! In short, very nice location, but 10' drive to center but price / quality too expensive: it is a 2* hotel but you are far away everywhere and almost obliged to take the 'expensive' breakfast there. After the takeover in early '26 of the previous owners Didier and his wife, Montemar probably adjusted the prices as well. Acquisition costs money and should yield... Our expectations were high, based on reviews from previous years but still disappointed.

Zero in sensitivity
We had to cancel our reservation not out of taste but because the same day we had to show up at the hotel I was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery. The owner, neither empathetic nor understanding, charged us half the total amount. Fortunately I am recovering, it is only about money and above it is health. A hotel that we really liked on our first visit and that we will not return or recommend. I just hope their owners are in good health and if they go through a trance similar to ours they will find on the other side more sensitive hoteliers. Man proposes and God willing.

Para empezar lamentamos muchísimo la incidencia en su salud y le deseamos una pronta recuperación. Solamente como recordatorio, Usted reservó a través de Booking.com y por tanto aceptó las condiciones allí determinadas. Nosotros sólo aplicamos estas condiciones . Perder una reserva de varios días en agosto, el mismo día de la entrada nos supone un trastorno difícil de compensar, habiendo estado diciendo que no había habitaciones a un montón de clientes que querían alojarse en nuestro establecimiento. Desafortunadamente las anulaciones, que en la mayoría de los casos tratan de justificarse como enfermedades, solo se deben a las condiciones climáticas o de cambio de planes para las vacaciones. Espero que lo comprenda. Eso no es falta de sensibilidad. A veces pagan justos por pecadores. Lo sentimos sinceramente.

They have been four excellent days in every way. The treatment received by Susana and Didier (especially), the facilities, the spacious and comfortable rooms and the great breakfasts, have made us share with some good friends one of the best stays in recent years (and we travel a lot).
In addition, the hotel is very close to Llanes and has a modern and very beautiful construction, with comfortable and spacious parking.
Thanks to Susana and Didier for the treatment and attention provided. We will return, without a doubt.

Ideal location for the north coast and the Picos mountains.
What a brilliant location, just a short distance off the motorway and yet so peaceful and tranquil. The views to the mountains behind are to die for. The hotel itself is to the highest spec. with spacious bedrooms and luxury shower rooms - I could have stayed much longer if possible.
The owners, Susanna and Didier, could not have been more welcoming or helpful, with tips on local restaurants and beaches to visit. I am determined to revisit with my wife next time instead of the five hairy hikers on this visit!
