Budget hostel in Madrid

We stayed at the hotel one night to attend a Bernabéu match. The location is good, with two metro stops nearby. The rooms are very clean, although somewhat old. It has a 24-hour reception. We will repeat for sure.

Terrible Experience – I Do Not Recommend This Hostel

Our adventure at this hostel began the moment we arrived. When we got there, the place was locked, and we had to wait for about an hour in the café across the street until an employee showed up to open the door. When he finally arrived and we tried to check in, we discovered that he didn’t speak English — even though the website clearly stated that the staff spoke both Spanish and English. Because of this misunderstanding, we had to wait until 4 p.m. for his colleague to come, who spoke very poor English, and communication was extremely difficult.
We stayed there for seven days, and I think only one of those days our room was actually cleaned. The windows couldn’t be locked, and even a random passerby on the street could reach out and open the sliding window — which, in fact, happened.
On the night before we were supposed to leave, my girlfriend and I returned from a walk around beautiful Madrid when we noticed smeared food on our window. We informed the employee on duty, but he did absolutely nothing about it. Later, when we went to our room to rest for the trip ahead, we lay down on the bed and suddenly saw a stranger standing right outside our window, talking in Spanish. I didn’t understand a word because I don’t speak Spanish.
I went to the reception to report that someone was bothering us, but again, the staff member took no action. About 30 minutes later, the same man came back and knocked hard on our window. I opened it and yelled at him to leave us alone and that we didn’t want any trouble. Then I went back to the reception again to complain. This time, the employee simply stepped outside for a moment to “look around,” and that was it.
When we returned to our room later to take a shower, my girlfriend was wearing her bathrobe — and the same man decided to open the window again! At that point, I completely lost my temper. I ran after him, caught up to him, and kicked him behind the knees before my girlfriend stopped me from doing anything further.
When I returned to the reception, the only thing the staff member said to me was “Tranquilo” — meaning “calm down” in Spanish. How can anyone stay calm in such a situation, where the hotel staff shows zero concern for the safety and comfort of their guests?
I do not recommend this hostel to anyone.

Excellent option

Hotel very well located and very good value for money. It has a 24-hour reception. The room is good, comfortable bed and own bathroom. Without a doubt, if I encarta I will repeat again since it has supermarkets, bars, a metro stop nearby... Totally recommended

Good for a short stay

Good place to sleep for a short stay in the city. The doors have chip like security having peace of mind to leave your stuff. When you leave the hostel you are required to leave the chip card as the front desk. Did a very late check in and was received with a smile.
