a great place to stay in Madrid, location is spot on.
A lovely apartment in the heart of Madrid. Jorge allowed us to drop our bags in at 11.30 and although check in was 4pm he text to say our room was ready at 1.30 pm. After an early flight we were delighted to get into the apartment. The location of this apartment could not be better. Supermarket, coffee shops and restaurants all around. This is a great place to stay and affordable.

Well located but average apartment style accommodation to explore Madrid
No lifts in this apartment but located within a minutes walk from Sol station these apartments were okay to explore Madrid. The rooms were small and the stairs and entry to the building are really old and showing age. There was an unusual smell on the floor where there are several guest rooms under the brand - could be the smell of a strong disinfectant but was distinct.Nice location is perhaps the main reason one will choose this accommodation.

Great location but very late check in
The location is great . Very safe and very close to the main square. The apartment was very clean and had an extra toilet. Only drawback is that check in at 4 pm it’s too late . We had to wait out for very long to check in after a long flight. Searched for a locker nearby to keep our luggage

"The devil is in the details"
Our first impression was definitely not good, since the building has a fully automated access (there is nobody to receive you) and the owner is supposed to send you a door code... which they never sent me, despite my repeated communications (via Booking app, email and whatsapp) from 3 weeks in advance.
So it happened what I dreaded the most: they day of our arrival I had received no code, and I was there with my family and my luggage in the middle of one of the dirtiest and awful streets in Madrid, on a Saturday night, with no way of entering the apartments, and nobody was answering my calls.
Fortunately, the Booking app Customer Service came to the rescue and responded brilliantly when we called them instead. They were able to contact the owner (possibly through a number which was not listed in the reservation info) and give us access.
Later on, the owner apologised, mentioning mobile phone issues (having only 8 apartments in the building, and knowing well in advance we were arriving that day, I ask myself how could they oversee the fact that they had customers arriving and not finding proactively another way to communicate the access code!).
The apartment itself is not that great; they say it has an elevator, but they don't mention the "detail" that you have to climb 1 floor by stairs to reach it. Good luck if you have heavy luggage.
The apartment is dark, has almost no windows, and from those it has, one leads to a pedestrian street (in which the apts. are located) which is very noisy, the main bedroom has a small 1x1 window that leads... to the inner stairs (so noise comes freely in and out) and is located right next to the emergency exit signal, so you can enjoy an all-night green reflection while you sleep!
The rest of the apartment is a small, cramped business, which smelled faintly of mold. The refrigerator was badly cleaned and smelled of sour milk. Some of the closets also smelled of humidity and mold.
There is a washing machine (but no dryer). Good luck drying your clothes in that damp, non-ventilated apartment in the cold seasons.
We only used one of the air conditioner units, the one in the main bedroom. It was so dirty that was scary, and when turned on (we had no choice, since the room, as all others, has no natural ventilation) it disseminated a foul odor.
As I mentioned before, Carretas Street is a pedestrian street, so if you have a lot of luggage, you will have to walk at least 400 meters from the closest point where a taxi can leave you). The rest of Madrid is nicer, but this street is very dirty, cramped with people, and the apartment entrance is right next to a Burger King.
I'm sorry I have to write such a bad review, but the amount of negative details made for a very very bad experience. And that initial screw up with the access was an unforgivable action from the owner, that resulted in one of the worst experiences in my life, and almost ruined our vacations.

Nice place to be for a while
The cleanliness is very good, and nice rooms somewhat small.
We had an inconvenience of understanding with the manager but solved it correctly. Very valueable!!!
Overall all well, we will be back next year with Efiti. Thank you.
