Great hotel in a perfect location
Myself and my daughter stayed here for 3 nights during the Mad Cool festival.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Right on the edge of a main shopping strip (similar to Oxford Street London) and a stones throw from the metro which was really good value and got us direct to the festival stop.
Our room was clean and spacious with excellent air conditioning. We upgraded to the superior deluxe twin room which was a good choice as we appreciated the extra room space.
The breakfast was really good and the staff did a great job allocating and cleaning tables. One evening we had cocktails on the roof terrace which was amazing and a must do!
It would have been good to have a few decent British TV channels in the room, but this wasn’t essential as we were out most of the time.
If you’re thinking of booking this hotel go for it, it’s an impressive grand building with excellent staff, situated in a prime location for exploring Madrid.

We had an amazing stay! Room and bathroom were well maintained. The toilet was separate from the bathroom sink and shower which was a bit odd and there was no ventilation in the toilet room. However, it didn’t detract from our stay. Beds were very comfortable and the pull out couch was also comfortable which was great for restful sleep after a full day of excursions. Hotel was very quiet at night. Breakfast was amazing with lots of hot and cold choices and was kept well stocked. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic! Easy walk or transport to many attractions and many dining options nearby.

Great hotel in a great location
Stayed at this hotel for the Mad Cool festival. It was superb, friendly helpful staff, lovely room, great location and we loved the rooftop bar. Very pleased with our choice and id say this is more a 5 star than 4 star rating

City Break
Excellent location, excellent hotel, excellent service and very clean. My only disappointing part of our trip was when we checked out, our flight wasn't until 21:00 and checkout was 12:00, no problem with that at all. However, we were told we couldn't use the pool and that we would have to pay to go up to the sky bar? Having spent 3 nights in the hotel surely you should allow people to use the facilities?

Great hotel, in wonderful location
Just a short couple of nights staying at the Riu, in a triple room. Plenty of space for us all, lovely beds. Shower was well stocked and worked very well. Breakfast was busy but we were seated within a few minutes and plenty of choices for all. Had a lovely nightcap in the rooftop bar which was a great treat, though a little windy, but lovely.
