Beautiful rooms and friendly staff
This was my first solo trip abroad so I was anxious about most parts, but the staff were extremely accommodating as well as helpful for local sights/bars. Their rooftop bar was fab too, it got a little busy around 7/8pm but the staff all acknowledged me and never made me feel uncomfortable or ignored - even when they couldn't serve me immediately. The room was clean and comfortable (a couple of the light fixtures were slightly loose but they worked absolutely fine) and the linked restaurant was lovely. Beautiful cathedral right outside too for bonus points. Definitely would recommend, maybe bring earplugs since it's very central to the historical city

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the old town.
I stayed here during my 3-week Spanish course and did not regret a single minute. Ideal location, very friendly staff, whether in the restaurant or on the super stylish rooftop terrace in the old town; it takes about 8 minutes to reach the central square with all bus lines.

Lovely hotel very central friendly staff great Roof Top terrace. Our room faced onto an alley so the room was quite noisy late at night and early morning when the rubbish and bottles were collected.

Perfect stay for our family of 4. Plenty of space in the room (extra large king bed & bunk beds) overlooking the church square. Super friendly staff & delicious breakfast. Perfect location for exploring the city & beach on foot. Highly recommend a stay here

Awful customer service
**AVOID — misleading booking and absolutely appalling customer service**
I genuinely cannot believe how badly this hotel handled what should have been a very simple situation.
I booked this hotel through Expedia after checking out of another hotel early because it was extremely noisy. I had been travelling all day, arrived in Málaga, and explained the situation at reception. Despite this, I was left waiting for **around two hours to check in**.
I had specifically booked and **paid in full for a Superior Room with a balcony**, including a complimentary bottle of wine. The balcony was actually the **main reason I chose this hotel**.
When I finally entered the room, I immediately realised I had been given the wrong room. **No balcony. No wine. No fridge.** I went straight back downstairs and explained this to Jose.
His response was essentially: *that's the only room we have available.*
I explained that I had booked and paid for a room with a balcony and that this was not what I had been given. He then told me that another guest was arriving the next day and that I could only have the balcony room for one night.
I asked why the hotel couldn't simply accommodate the guest who was already standing in front of them and had already paid, rather than prioritising a future guest. **Jose made absolutely no effort to find a solution.**
I then asked for help contacting Expedia because the room I had been given was clearly not the room I had booked. Jose told me he had **no phone number for Expedia**. Ironically, he then handed me the hotel's work phone, where there was a **saved Expedia contact**.
I also asked to speak with a manager. I was told there was no manager and, essentially, that I wasn't going to be allowed to speak to one.
The attitude and complete lack of willingness to help were honestly shocking. **Jose, if customer service isn't your thing, you really need to find a different job.** Guests shouldn't have to fight to receive the room they have already paid for, and they certainly shouldn't have to solve the hotel's Expedia issues themselves.
The whole experience was such a waste of time that I eventually left and booked another hotel nearby. And honestly? **Thank God I did.**
The hotel I'm staying in now is significantly better — it has a balcony, a gym, a pool, is larger, nicer and offers much better value for money.
My advice: **don't waste your money here.** There are plenty of better hotels in Málaga where you can get exactly what you pay for and, hopefully, receive basic customer service when something goes wrong.
And to the hotel: **update your Expedia listing** if the rooms you're selling do not actually match what guests receive.
One star is generous.
