Exhausting.......
I did not receive clear instructions on how to check in so found myself having to borrow a phone to do what i could have done from home before leaving UK. A person whom i called Titled himself manager but was no help and left me standing in the rain. It should not be possible to advertise a property which has 50 !!!! YES 50 stairs to your front door and not put it clearly in the property description. I am 5.6 feet tall and the sloping roof was a problem. When used the air conditioning created a horrendous odour and had clearly not been cleaned. The outside shutter was broken and unusable to shade room. I would say if your expectations are low and you are a teenager/ athlete no problem but if like me you paid good money and had realistic expectations of staying here DISAPOINTED and a lot poorer was how I left Residencia Universitaria San José?

Lousy experience at this accommodation!
I booked with moderate expectations, but what I found overcame my worst nightmares. Immediately after entering, the walls were filled with stains that looked like moisture and dirt accumulated for years. The fridge, besides being rusty on the outside, gave off an unpleasant smell every time it was opened, which made it impossible to store food there.
The bathroom was the worst: dirt embedded in the corners, mold on the tile joints and a general feeling of abandonment and unhygienicity. I can't understand how this place is still open to the public. The images speak for themselves (attached photos). Plus there's a hole in the bathroom door where they spy on you.
I would not recommend this accommodation or my worst enemy. It's a shame that someone charges for a place in these conditions. Avoid it at all costs!

Miserable shed
The place is definitely miserable. There are completely grotesque conditions. No air conditioning even if it appears. There are very thin doors and everything in the building can be heard. There is a bathroom in the hallway which is shared with five other rooms and there is only a single toilet. The general condition of the building is terrible. There are holes in the wall outside the bathroom and in several places there are damage to both the floor and walls. The stairs are not just safe to walk on, as these are also broken. The pictures shown on Booking.com do not match the reality at all and the price is completely insane, considering the circumstances. It is also apparent that there is television, and it was absolutely not.
We waited on the street for 15 minutes upon arrival before the host could come together to check us in and then we had to go to a completely different place where we were handed over keys. We tried to communicate in Spanish but the host seemed irritable and bothered by us. It all seemed very strange and hidden. When we come home on Saturday, after having been out to eat, there are blood spots on the bathroom floor and in the toilet bowl.
It appears from Reservation.com that it is a hotel, but this place has never seen the shadow of a hotel. It is a miserable and ugly accommodation. It was forbidden to rent that kind of shit.

We didn't stay as disgusting as we found
I absolutely do not recommend booking on this site. The photos and location do not correspond to the accommodation we were placed in. There are 3 buildings, it has two annexes and the photos seen belong to the main one. In which we were located is in a terrible state: smell of unbearable humidity, bathroom unhygienic, kitchen (if you can call it that) disgusting, room without air and at street level, which prevents opening the window. We tried to solve the situation with the Owner and it was very rude and rude.

A SCAM with capital letters. THEY LEAVE YOU LYING ON THE STREET AND TAKE YOUR MONEY
It is a scam for profit. I booked two nights while on vacation abroad, from the booking page, where the check-in time is indicated until 8:00 p.m. At no time does it say that after 8:00 p.m. you can no longer access like in other accommodations that give you the code or leave the key somewhere. Once you HAVE BOOKED AND THERE IS NO TURN BACK (BECAUSE IT IS NON-REFUNDABLE) is where the surprise comes!! Either you come before 8:00 p.m. or you stay on the street. Being abroad and in a town I have been without coverage on occasions but the accommodation has not deigned to contact me via WhatsApp until the day of the reservation at 2:00 p.m. when I was already at the airport. I told them that my plane was late and that it would arrive about 15 minutes after 8:00 p.m., which they did not agree to, leaving me on the street after a long day of travel. On their website ALSO IT DOES NOT SAY THAT THEY DO NOT OPEN AFTER 8:00 p.m. I contacted booking to try to solve this situation and each time a different person answered, to which I complained that it was not clear that no one would open for you after 8:00 p.m. I would go and report it, they deleted all the messages (it's a pity that I captured screen and I have them all) So now to report both of them for scam, because they scam the client by offering a service that they do not provide and they both act in bad faith (otherwise, why would they delete the messages?) if you don't want to lose your money, go somewhere else, there are many in Malaga and better ones.
