Incredible family hotel with excellent service.

Charming hotel that is one of the few left by the sea, in this beautiful town in Biscay. Unforgettable and magnificent experience. Spacious, clean room. Perfect. The attention from Mayte and her daughter could not have been better; even though it is far from my city, I will return every year just to visit them. It is magnificent. Thank you very much for making the stay so wonderful.

Fatal

The service was bad, I had to go and say what I wanted to eat and I also had to go and pick up the food. And the salad was terrible, no egg or tomato, just three ingredients.
I asked for a pen and paper and the answer I received was to see if I didn't have a cell phone to take notes.

Address with old-fashioned charm!

Nice and very simple address, with a charm of another time, great simplicity in being clean and quite pleasant. We had a great time, the beach is 10 m in front of the restaurant and the hotel. it is just to note that we struggled a lot to park far enough, actually, plus 2 km, it was a real nightmare. It’s not specific to this hotel, but as it’s a little off-center, without a car, you still have to walk a good half hour to find another restaurant. Then it’s clear that we will go back, it’s really the good life!

Great location, absolutely overprized

The location is great, just opposite the beach.
However, it is absolutely overprized. The rooms are small, old and very basic, and at least the rooms to the "garden" (yes, it's nice and green there) are dark, clammy and smelly, no view, not even to the "garden". The terrasse to the back you don't dare to use - it's so old and smelly. Yes, you can use the terrasse to the sea, however, it's not very inviting.
The hotel is in a walking distance to the village, but it takes 30 minutes.
And it's absolutely overprized, you double-pay for the close proximity to the beach

Not for us

We had planned on a 2 night stay here but once we saw the room, we quickly moved on. To say it was small was an understatement. The bed was barely a double and took up almost the whole room. Two people could not pass each other at either side of the bed. For €100 a night I expect a bit more in the way of comfort. I think you are really paying for the location which is no doubt stunning, but it was not for us. We cancelled and moved to another hotel on the way into town. It wasn’t much more expensive, it also had lovely views but was luxury by comparison.
