Great Location For The Gondola
Large apartment block literally 50 metres over the road from the gondola which takes you up to the ski area. Apartment was reasonably spacious. Though if it was utilised to its full capacity it would be a bit cramped. I was here alone so it great. Bedroom has 2 single beds and lots of wardrobe space lpus 2 bedside cabinats. Sliding doors seperate it form the louange/dining area, which has a pull out double sofa bed and a single sofs bed. There is also a table & 6 chairs for eating at.A small kitchen with 2 cooking hobs and a microwave. There is also a dishwasher here. It seemed pretty well equiped. The hall way has a smaller bunk bed in it with good storage under. They have a bar/cafe on the second floor with a nice terrace. Serves mostly Pizzas. There is a large ski/bootroom on the first floor. At their published prices I would class it as way OVER PRICED, but as I was an RCI exchange visitor it represented great value.

Spacious, comfortable apartments near great skiing or hiking.
We were there in the fall-off season- so it was very quiet. There were no stores open nor restaurants available. In winter it likely bustles as every hillside seems skiable and most of the businesses are ski sales or rental. The apartments are well furnished and comfortable. There is sleeping for 6 but only privacy for 2. The kitchen is quite small but adequate, and there are many places to eat out in the village when they are open. Ski lifts are easily accessible on foot. The town of Vielha is nearby with shops, restaurants and boutiques.

Great location, basic accommodation.
We came skiing to Baqueira for the first time this year, and after a lengthy drive from Barcelona airport we struggled to find the entrance to the apartments! Dark and late at night, rather tired from a day of travelling it took us quite some time to realise that the apartments do not have a roadside frontage, and that you had to walk up some stairs and around a corner to find the main reception.
Apartments are clean and spacious for skiing accommodation as it goes, with our apartment sleeping upto 5 people. The location is really superb however, with the gondola having two stations at slightly different levels, the base gondola station being opposite the Solneu. A good array of restaurants and bars can be found scattered around within walking distance of Solneu. The skiing is fantastic! Very surprised, this place is quite the hidden gem of Europe! A great variety of slopes suiting all levels and the pistes are spread over quite a large area connecting various towns through the Val D'Aran, which makes for good skiing as you can set yourself a destination to ski to and from.
Overall would highly recommend the resort of Baqueira-Beret, and the apartments Solneu for a good budget centrally located option.

Good place to stay
After i read all the other reviews in here i was a bit apprehensive about what i will find. I got positively surprised.
I were 4 persons and staid 6 nights in a T1. Good sized of living room. Nice bed room too. Plenty of space for 4 persons (but there was bed places for 6).
All the Solneu personnel was very nice and kind (in reception , cleaning personnel , maintenance, and at the bar / restaurant too).
We had a dinner meal in the Solneu ground floor restaurant and we liked it. About prices, don't expect miracles. You are in Apart Hotel restaurant, at Baqueira. It is not cheap of course (i look into the menu and it is always around 25 euros / person in general...)
It's a nice place and clean to eat. Nothing special in the decor but nice and clean. Good enough. I liked it.
Solneu also have a individual looker/cabinet for each apartment in the floor 1 only for you and your family to keep all the sky equipment in there. So you don't have to go up to the apartment will the wet boots and skis and let the apartment dirty with mud and water (the usual dirty water after skying and walking into apartment). This helps a lot to keep your apartment and the apart-hotel common areas always clean and good looking ! I liked a lot this idea.
The Solneu is based at 1500 quota and very, very close indeed of the tele-cabines that takes you into the beginning of the ski stance (1800 quota). You only have to pass a street to the other side and take the lift (or stairs) to move up one floor. Then you are in the tele-cabines!
Places to park the car in Baqueira near Solneu: there is a garage underground below tele-cabines but you pay around 16 euros / day to put the car in there. It is near Solneu and seemed very safe and good to me. Lots of parking places. You should find a place to park in there easily.
There is also a open air public not paid park at the entrance of Baqueira. It was lots of parking places as well but the car will stay in the street. You is a street long away from Solneu apart-hotel but it is not difficult at all to walk from their into the Solneu. Just take the car near Solneu to load and unload your baggage and them park the car in one of those two places i mentioned in here.
In a general impression about Apart-Hotel amenities , looking and personnel, my experience tells me the Solneu is better than the Ka2 and Lake Placid Apart-Hotels at Pas De La Casa (if you also know those it will be better to understand what i am saying).
Below tele-cabines there is also a small covered (weather protected) playground for little kids to pass a good time playing and running. Very ussefull after the ski time.
About apres-sky activities, life and amenities, forget it. It is the end of the world! There are to market places, few shops and a small mall and that's it. Baqueira is a very small place and is good to rest. If you want shops and bars and night then you have to go to a city 15 kms below... called Vielha. In there you have plenty of places ! But be careful with the police ! They are always ready to catch you without any warnings !

Bueníssima ubicación
Complejo bien situado, en invierno para la subida a la nieve, y para verano, cerca de la naturaleza y tranquilo.
Apartamentos normales, sin lujos, con cocina pequeña, pero con mobiliario y equipamientos completos. Reformados recientemente, con buena reforma.
