Always repeat: Attention, comfort and good location
We have been staying at Hotel Montemar in O Grove for years and it is always a good idea to repeat. It is one of those places that make you feel at home from the first moment, largely thanks to the close and familiar treatment of Jesus, Rachel and Nacho, who are always watching for the perfect stay.
We usually stay on the 4th floor with views of La Toja Island that are simply spectacular, a real luxury to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings. In addition, the cleanliness is impeccable, something that we highly value and that they always maintain to an excellent standard.
Another big plus is parking, something fundamental in O Grove where parking can be quite complicated. You don't have to worry about it here, which adds a lot of comfort to the experience.
The location is also very good: in just 5 minutes by car you reach the beach of Playa de A Lanzada, one of the best in the area. In addition, the surroundings invite you to walk quietly along the estuary or approach any nearby village, as the road exit is nearby.
The breakfast buffet is another strong point: complete, varied and perfect to start the day with energy.
In short, a hotel totally recommended for its location, its views, its cleanliness and, above all, for the humane treatment that makes it special. We will definitely continue to return to Hotel Montemar.

Bien
The hotel a normal 3 stars . Everything very clean and breakfast very well (I am gluten intolerant and had no problem). Very nice people. I do not give it 5 stars because I always travel with the road bike and they did not let me go up to the room and left it apart in a corner of the parking. It's an expensive bike and we had to put it in the car just in case.

Heat and pillows smelling stale
The rancid smell of sheets and pillows was very unpleasant. The room rather scrawny and sauna type. The window didn't quite close and it was 24 hours a day. An elevator for 6 floors. All very old and uncomfortable. The cupboard could not be opened properly

Very good location, reception treatment of 10, polite, helpful, nearby. The facilities and cleanliness very good. Very good breakfast buffet, varied with quality and homemade products. Extensive knowledge in intolerances... thanks to the cook I was able to have a very good experience

All the staff at the hotel lovely, friendly, I have had all the help from everyone
Family hotel, simple, with own parking for 8 € day, varied breakfast buffet had a little everything , the super comfortable room ours was adapted to people with functional diversity and was large and with great mobility, adapted bathroom the only thing the shower tray slipped and needed help to enter and exit would have to be non-slip , cleaning a 10 all very clean, and the treatment by all the unbeatable staff, all super attentive, friendly, and with me they worried about opening the elevator door , they gave me a parking space next to the entrance, all the staff thank you for helping me in everything to make me feel good.
