Ideal place to break up a long journey

On a motorcycle tour and heading to Portugal this hotel was an ideal place to break the journey. Good value for money, plenty of parking and not to far off the main highway. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was basic but clean and comfortable. Didn't try the restaurant but the breakfast was good (tostadas) and inexpensive. An interesting place which I finally discovered used to be a seminary.

This is an unusual hotel set over a number of blocks. I think it was initially designed as a large conference and exhibition centre. The rooms are clean and tidy and look like they have been spruced up a little recently. But still a little rough around the edges. Soundproofing between rooms is not great.
For such a cheap stay though I'm not complaining.
While I was there the food options were limited to the bar area just off reception. The first night they could only offer a sandwich due to a large party they were catering for. The second evening had more tapas style options, but still limited. However what I had was good and very inexpensive.
I didn't like the look of the nearby area, but having passed through the town on my way out it probably wasn't as bad as I thought and probably offered more / better dining options. I don't know if the restaurant only opens in high season or only for special occasions.
The hotel grounds are peaceful and the small pool area a welcome addition in such a hot part of Spain. I'll certainly consider booking here again on my next trip through the region.
