The perfect appartement @ Playa de l’ingles

This spot has realy everything we needed, beautiful garden, very clean appartment with large balcony, the perfect host Maria , the walking distance to resto, shops, beach etc etc. The visits we did all with local transport bus

In principle a nice facility, but unfortunately there were some disappointments

The plant has a lot of potential: Sea view, no children under 16 and no smoking in all areas - at least according to self-expression.
But on site we found that smoking is not only allowed on the balconies and terraces, but also by the pool. When asked, it was explained that it was not seen so narrowly - and the complete ban on smoking on the website was not known at all ... Extremely annoying that this is not communicated on the website (the search engines don't know about it either).
It is also very unfortunate that the kitchenette by the pool has not existed for several years - but nevertheless it is described in the information folder in the apartment.
The fact that this folder has not been updated for years can be seen from old photos and also from the fact that the obligation to supervise children at the pool is still mentioned (or are they allowed again in the meantime?) and a telephone (did not exist) and an alarm on the balcony door (was no longer necessary after the renovation?) are pointed out.
Further information on how to prepare for these requests, which can be interesting for smoking people:
The roof terrace has a really fantastic view, but it is not surprising that it quickly gets quite windy on it. A hat/buff or something would make a lot of sense.
The large parking lot in front of the complex of course ensures that a rental car (if you have one) is never far away. But you shouldn't underestimate how many people there are talking loudly (standing) or listening to music (in the car), even the coach and especially the delivery traffic (for Santa Monica and others) is sometimes quite noisy, the dogs on the green space behind less. Headphones with appropriate music provide a remedy.
The pool is supposed to be and is probably heated, but it is colder than (we) thought due to shade and wind (depending on the season and weather of course). So warm up well in the sun.
It is definitely clean, the staff are very nice, the palm trees green and the small library rich in German (and few other language) books.
The beds were super comfortable. They were renewed in the summer of 2025. There are again two beds that can be put together easily if necessary.

Taboga, a cozy apartment complex.

A renovated complex with 24 apartments of which 23 are currently in use. The pool is located at the front, the terraces/balconies are not facing the pool. The apartments on the 2nd and 3rd floor have balconies with unobstructed views. The ground apartments are sunken and only have a view of the beautiful garden. The beds are fine and there is ample storage space. The not too large toilet room has a separate shower corner with rain shower head. The small kitchen has a two-burner electric hob. Coffee machine, kettle and oven are provided. The kitchen is fairly complete. Multilingual and friendly hostesses (especially Maria) are present for large parts of the day. Five litres of water gallons are available at the reception and two sandwiches hang at the door every morning (white or brown if desired). We have been there for several years and were always very satisfied. However, this year we were somewhat disappointed, due to small but annoying imperfections. But that is a personal experience because there was a comparison with previous years. Not cheap but conveniently located to the boulevard and beach (a few minutes walk), shops / restaurants etc. within walking distance in the C.C.Cita. Experience it for yourself, however, it is a quiet, fun and cozy 3-storey apartment complex.

Absolute Gem of a place.

I arrived without having booked anything at all in South Gran Canaria, as I had absolutely no idea where the nice places might be.
I drove the entire southern coast from Puerto Mogán to Bahia Feliz, and to be honest was a little despondent with what I saw.
Finally exhausted and lost I pulled in to a parking area which actually had done free spaces, and walked 20m to the promenade.
Jackpot- I’d found a decent area, next to some very up-market places to stay- unfortunately way over my budget.
BUT- looking back toward my car I saw a wonderful looking apartment block-“Taboga”.
Walked round to reception, and asked for availability.
Staff are absolutely fantastic, really friendly, and go well and beyond the minimum.
They had one suite left- not with a view, but ground floor with private patio/lawn area.
Given the pool out back, and a quite amazing Sun Terrace with loungers, the lack of a sea view was hardly an issue.
By avoiding Websites, I got an absolutely amazing price too.
Highly highly recommended.

Great location with quick access on foot to the beach and the sea

Taboga is a 3-storey block of 24 one bedroom apartments on the coastal path (paseo maritimo) with an unobstructed view of the Maspalomas Dunes and the sea. Only a very small proportion of the accommodation in Playa del Ingles can offer a good view of, and proximity to, the sea. Beach access is via the coastal path, down about 80 steps, past shops and restaurants, across a small part of the dunes and on to the sea. Taboga had a partial refurbishment three years ago. The main entrance from Calle de Milan is at 1st floor level. Reception, the flourishing gardens and the pool are on the ground floor, with access via stairs and a lift. The 8 apartments on the ground floor have garden terraces and lack a sea view. The 16 apartments on the 1st and 2nd floors all have big south-facing balconies. To one side of the Taboga is a public car-park. Apartments numbered 208 and 308 are nearest to the car-park, 201 and 301 farthest away. The 1st floor apartments are on the same level as the main gate and can be reached without stairs, The 2nd floor apartments are up one flight, no lift. Another flight of stairs leads to the sun-deck on the roof. The building is curved so the apartments are widest facing the sea and taper back towards the apartment entrance. The entrance doors are fitted with electronic key-card locks. The bedroom is fairly small. It has a small double bed and a big wardrobe. The shower room is also small but nicely tiled with modern plumbing. The open plan living room/dining area/kitchenette is big, with full width glass doors on to the balcony, which is equipped with a table and chairs and loungers. The apartments are not air conditioned but it isn't needed in the winter. Toboga has mainly German-speaking guests. The TV has only one channel in English, a news channel. There is WiFi throughout the block with fast broadband. Taboga is very well maintained and scrupulously clean. The staff are cheerful and helpful. The receptionists speak good English.
