Cal zmacal is a very nice place run of 2 brothers.
Staff is extremely nice.

Nothing recommended

We stayed lucky 1 night. As soon as we arrived we were greeted at reception by a man who left inside the restaurant of the hotel (since they were in the middle of Midday Service) and smelled very bad of sweat... we could understand because it was hot and they had a lot of work.
When entering the room the ceiling above the shower was stained with moisture and the wc was removed the tape indicating that the bathroom is clean and inside the wc was toilet paper...
The bed uncomfortable and small. And by surprise when I opened the closet I found 3 blankets of which 2 were not wrapped with plastic.
The rooms are not soundproof as you hear everything completely (noise from the hotel itself, from the reception, from the street,...)
It has a pool and chill out area that was beautiful and well kept.
The next day we checked out at 10am in the morning we were attended by the same gentleman who checked in and continued to smell very bad (sweat).

Nice accommodation with restaurant in the hinterland of Barcelona.

A lovely place to stay with a restaurant in the hinterland of Barcelona. The rooms are functionally furnished and have a small balcony. The staff was extremely accommodating. The attached restaurant with a small delicatessen is the centre of the village and offers delicious food. The small pool was the absolute highlight for our son.

Well-run aparthotel with bar and restaurant and friendly helpful staff

We booked an en-route overnight stay only the day before. We had a top floor of a newish building (there's a lift!) air-conditioned studio bedroom with kitchen facilities and dining table plus a bright shower room - practical, attractive and clean with nice towels etc. We also discovered that our french window opened onto a small roof terrace. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The staff on the hotel reception were very helpful, as were the staff in the busy, well-run bar/café. There is also a restaurant. We enjoyed a huge amazing breakfast. We parked easily, just in front of the hotel. We would definitely go back.

Found by chance

We found this hotel by chance off the main C16 road to France over the Pyrenees from Barcelona. It is a great hotel, clean, lovely shower with plenty of hot water and no leaks. The beds were comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The staff were very friendly and although not speaking much of any other language they did their very best to please. The breakfast was enormous and filled us up for the rest of the day! Would definitely use this hotel again if we go back to Spain on this route. Fully recommended.
