Exceptional
Our stay in Cal Carulla was great, we recommend the cottage especially for families.
We loved being able to feed the horses and chickens every morning, enjoy the pool and ping pong. We took our bikes for excursions in the surrounding area, they were easy routes and allowed us to enjoy the forests, fields and impressive windmills.
The house of the Ivy, was comfortable and cozy, with all the necessary amenities. It was a plus that the house had air conditioning and smart TV.
Definitely an ideal place for a relaxing and fun stay.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Never experienced such bad customer service. The host made a mistake in pricing their accommodation and contacted us almost at midnight to make us cancel. However, we didn't agree to it so they made Booking.com connect with us. Booking.com tried to help us come into an agreement but before they were able to do that, the host had already canceled our reservation with the reason "force majeure", and they (booking) could thus not do anything about it. Not only did we spend a whole day communicating back and forth with host and Booking.com, we had also already asked for a day off work, booked a car, etc.
We can understand that you make a mistake in pricing (which is very unprofessional anyway), but it is not acceptable to cancel without our confirmation misusing the "force majeure" button. I have worked in this field myself and I know for a fact that this is bad customer service: when you as a guest make a reservation and regret after, the guest can only cancel by the terms of agreement, and the same goes the other way around. However, they did not follow what they expect/require the guest to do.

A house that charges 400€ per night is not able to forgive two nights for a mistake by you. Lamentable
A company unable to take its own mistakes. Errors that the customer has to assume, who sees their plans traveled are unilaterally canceled after paying a car rental and asking for holidays.
They should learn from hotels that offer to refund the full amount of a reservation for not being able to fulfill all their services (lack of hot water, for example). In this case, greed broke the sack.

Por un error informático externo a nuestra empresa, resultó una tarifa incorrecta de 16€/noche para una casa familiar de cuatro plazas en el mes de agosto.
Tan pronto como detectamos el error, nos comunicamos con usted en cuestión de unas pocas horas. Le propusimos varias alternativas para solucionar el inconveniente.
Le ofrecimos la opción de corregir el precio al valor correcto mercado. También la devolución íntegra del importe total de su reserva inmediatamente, con el fin de que pudiese reservar otro alojamiento lo antes posible.
Nuestra intención siempre ha sido proporcionarle un servicio de alta calidad y resolver cualquier problema de la manera más eficiente posible. Agradecemos su comprensión en este asunto y lamentamos cualquier inconveniente que haya sufrido.

Lovely quiet location with a rustic feel. Loved the enthusiasm of the family that own it and the details she gave of Carulla which had been in their family for centuries. Chance to chill by the pool which got sun for 90% of the day. It is 15 mins from any shops so make sure you stock up before as there is no restaurant anywhere nearby. kitchen stocked with everything you need and in the colder months plenty of wood for the fire. Imagine would be very cosy
