RECOMMENDED: We have spent a few days staying at Pazo Pías again
We have spent a few days staying at Pazo Pías again and, once again, we have been delighted. The room was very comfortable, with beautiful views that make the stay even more special. Everything was impeccably clean and very well maintained.
We also want to highlight the kindness and professionalism of the staff. Zaira, at the front desk, greeted us with a smile and was always willing to help us with everything. Likewise, Sonia, from service, was very attentive and kind throughout our entire stay.
Without a doubt, it is a place that you always want to return to. Thank you very much for making us feel at home!

Longest night of my life
Good location is the point I have given. Because the rooms are old and lack of cleanliness.
The pier beds and old clothes like towels hanging the threads and worn.
The garden lacks cleanliness and it's a shame, because they have the largest orchard in Galicia.
We are pilgrims and in better public hostels we have been.

EXPENSIVE AND POOR STAFF SERVICE
I booked a renovated room, which is one of the best the property has. 95€/night in accommodation only.
Room of very small dimensions. No air conditioning. Problems in the pipes, we were almost out of water. Bathroom without ventilation (To inform the City Council and to review the license). Silverfish pest on floors and walls (Lack of disinfection). They start mowing grass, chainsaw and brushcutter in full nap and rest of the pilgrims. Reception staff with no empathy for the client, she seems like a religious school teacher who instead of providing customer service, is responsible for justifying/defending all the failures of the accommodation, instead of taking them into account to improve. It is not worth staying.

1-las dimensiones son establecidas por la ley conforme a categoría establecimiento.
2-la habitación no tiene aire acondicionado y de ello tiene la información disponible en booking portal en el que realizo su reserva.
3-todos los baños tienen ventilación.
4-Se le informo que no se puede cortar césped ni por la mañana a primera hora ni a ultima hora de la tarde. Son 13000m2 de jardín que deben ser hechos en dos dias a la semana. Se hace al mediodía con el fín de molestar lo menos posible,
Entendemos que esto ultimo fue su problema.Se le informó que faltaba muy poco para acabar la tarea ya que se iban a otra area.Pero entendemos que se le haya estropeado su siesta. Quizás lo ideal para usted seria alojamientos sin jardines....

Over-priced substandard rooms
I rarely complain but I'm extremely unhappy with Pazo de Pias. They charged €60 for a tiny mixed dorm room. This is a blatant rip-off because there's limited places to stay in the area for pilgrims.
No hot water, shower head kept falling down, no air con or heating, desperately in need of a refurb, no TV, 1 hairdryer for all the mixed dorms, smelled of washing that'd never quite dried.
For €60, I expect a good standard. For example, stayed in Hotel Monumento in A Guarda two nights earlier for the same price as Pazo Pias. Got a spacious room, huge screen TV, hairdryer, private terrace, huge bathroom AND a buffet breakfast. AND you couldn't hear your neighbours.
How they think €60 is fair for this substandard room is beyond me. They refuse to refund a cent. Unless you can stay for its true value of maybe €20-25, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Very very disappointed in the room and their response.

Firstly we have not mixed rooms.We have three options:
single and double rooms share the bathroom by 18 € by pilgrim
double rooms with bathroom by 60 € /30€ by one/without tv , not hairdryer no renovate rooms on may( we dont understood this because you make the reservation with all information)
double room revovate with bathroom and tv by 75 € on may.We dont have air con, heating yes not on May obviusly..You arrive raining day, you have dry area but you are not interesting on...Yes you ask for money for not put this opinion we refused .
Perhaps the room that you choose it was not the best option ....we havent responsability that on May there was a raiming day...we give you a cortesy hairdryer ...so sorry if your expierence no suitable by you.....

Average room, without many pretensions, but good for the price you pay.
The room and bathroom are old and unrenovated, but for the price we paid we didn't expect much more, and it did the job for us.
It is well located, close to the center and the gardens are very beautiful.
The friendly staff helped us with any questions and provided information that we asked for.
