The hotel is good value. It provides a. decent sized room a reliable hour or so from Santander port.
The rooms are a little dated but have everything you need and are good value. My room had a balcony. The surrounding area is nothing special. But there is a decent supermarket 200m walk away.
Breakfast was okay.

Terrible.
I booked a room in this hotel, family, we were going to spend a few days in that area, we are from Asturias and we were going to visit the castle of Argüeso with two children. When we get to about 3.30pm, we're told we have to wait for the room to be gone... I was already amazed.... But well... I say in advance that the reception was a mess, papers everywhere, dirty decoration... Everything scrambled... the girl who attended us to what she could, there was another woman there with her who didn't even greet us and people in the cafeteria staring at us seemed to be still partying... Having said that, I took a deep breath and thought, let's give the hotel a chance, maybe the room is fine...we went upstairs...I saw the staff they had cleaning and said poof this does not look good. Yes, indeed. We enter the room and as we enter we leave. Apart from old and broken it was dirty, and when I say dirty it is that there were hairs of all kinds everywhere, the bathroom smelled fatal, the floors dirty .. with hairs of knowing where and the towels used, with brown stains ... open the beds and more of the same. Sorry we went down to reception and there was no longer the girl who had attended us, there was another and I told her we were leaving, I was clear, there was a couple next door who was a bit in shock, but sorry I had to say it and we left. We are a family that travel a lot. And you can find that just as ftos to the reality changes the thing a little, but always a minimum of cleanliness... and here there was not. It looked like a road hotel, so I don't recommend it at all. I feel sorry for why the girl who was on shift when we left looks like she wasn't surprised when I told her, and I didn't give her a choice to another room, we just left.

Very disappointed
We arrived after a very long drive and were seeking a relaxing afternoon. We had requested a double bed but no mention of this at check in. On arrival in the room there were two small single beds with the texture of housebricks. We were too tired to comment and went to bed that night in the allotted room but slept badly and got up early the next day with backache and hip pain.
After viewing the room on arrival we went to the bar/cafe area thinking to have a small snack, drink and quiet time. This was not to be. There was a stove lit and a good choice of snacks but children having left the comedor were playing loudly on the disabled slope alongside the stairs from reception to the cafe/comedor area.The children were very loud and persistent. They were behind the bar and reception as well. We went up to the room and read there, eventually going to bed. In the morning,on check out we did mention to the receptionist about the bed situation and she said that if we wanted a double bed we should have requested this when booking, but this we had done. We commented on the mattress firmness as well and we’re told they are new’ following a recent refurbishment !
The bar area was pleasant and the stove lovely but the staff seem to be rather indifferent to the comfort of the clientele. Only visit if you are already feeling strong and refreshed or totally exhausted and only want to go to bed. The communal areas are not conducive to relaxation.
If you have any musculoskeletal weakness I recommend avoidance of this establishment as well since I believe the new mattresses may have been a »special « offer.

Pets are not allowed in the cafeteria, but the worst was the derogatory tone they used with us to inform us.

A very familiar and welcoming trip
Great hotel, super comfortable rooms and very nice atmosphere, thank you for the Dewy Waitress Dining Service, which served us excellently.
