Pension Loinaz
Pensión Loinaz nalazi se u staroj gradskoj jezgri San Sebastiána i nudi besplatni WiFi u cijelom objektu. Luka San Sebastiána udaljena je 500 metara, a plaža La Concha 5 minuta hoda. Sobe u ovom objektu imaju drvene podove, grijanje i ormar.

Great pension on old town
Well you can't any better then this location it's in the middle of old town and 5 min from the beach ,, Jose is a gentleman who speaks great English which is helpful if you need advice on the area ,the rooms and bathrooms are spotless and his wife , (didn't get her name) cleans them 3 or 4 times a day the wifi is good and just keep the windows closed if you need to sleep. I would definitely stay there again great value for money

Simple, clean, great location.
This pension is simple to the point of basic. You get a (very clean and reasonably sized) room with a large wardrobe, and there are two bathrooms shared between the ca 6 rooms total. The owner/proprietor lives at one end of the small hallway that constitutes the entire shared space.
The window in my room was very soundproof, which was needed as the old town can get noisy at night. Unfortunately the door to the hallway was less so, and I could hear every footstep and conversation that went on there. As the pension has no other shared space (no restaurant, no outside space etc), conversations in the hallway happen quite a lot.
The location in the heart of the old town is great, though the pension is quite hard to find as signs are very small. When I arrived and was buzzed in I had no idea which floor to go to! It’s second floor as it turns out. Be aware there is no lift.
On departure day you need to check out by 11am, and bags can only be stored until 1pm - not great service as my bus only left town at 5pm, and I therefore had to detour to the bus station an additional time and pay €5 for storage of my bag for 3h.
The owner speaks good English, so if your Spanish is rusty you will do fine here.
Lastly, I found it quite expensive for a very simple accommodation in a small town out of season, but there was a film festival on, so perhaps prices were increased during my stay. I paid £80 / €90 per night.

Positives and negatives
We would completely agree with everything said previously by oneiro78. There are some things that are great about this hostel, and for a hostel it really is excellent. However, there were some things that let it down. We really enjoyed our time in San Sebastián but didn't sleep well at all due to the conflict between having either a quiet and hot room or a noisy and cool one! Perhaps the owner could provide fans to address this issue? Another problem for us which wasn't mentioned by oneiro78 was that we had a double room, but the bed was smaller than a traditional double.

Perfect location, spotless, and very well managed. But...
Look, the reviews are all spot-on regarding: location, fast reliable wifi, value for money, cleanliness (wow!), and great hosts (friendliness, communication etc). This is one of the best 'hostel' types of accommodation you'll experience!
Here are some con's you need to be aware of, though, from experience: The walls and floors are paper-thin, which means if you expect restful nights (and you're not a deep sleeper) think again. You'll hear bathroom and bedroom doors banging, footsteps and chatter up and down the hall and from open doors nearby.
The street where it's located is fantastic for pintxos and nightlife! True, that also means it gets packed with people, but don't worry because your bedroom windows are double-glazed so it won't bother you at all. By the way the window shutters can completely block outside light, which I found fantastic! BUT with no air-conditioning in your room, if you keep the windows shut, then the heat and sweat might add your likelihood of sleeplessness ;)

Clean and comfortable, perfectly located
Very clean, recently refurnished and very important: super comfortable beds with new matrasses.
Centrally located near all the bars. Keep in mind: if you want to sleep with window open, you'll need earplugs due to noise from the bars. Windows are Double glazed, so if you close them you wont need earplugs.
