Very well located. The service was spectacular. The cleanliness is of a superior level for a pension.

Terrible! BUDDLES!

We were affected by bed bugs at the pension. The owner said we had dragged them there! If I now read previous reviews (2015), the problem was already there then. So WARNING!
There was also an unpleasant smell in the room.
Since there have also been bed bugs in the past (review from 2015), the problem is not solved!

Budget accomodation

This is a budget accomodation. So don't expect much - just a basic room with a so-so comfortable bed and mediocre TV. But you're not travelling to watch TV, do you? :-)
The location is quite good. You'll stay in wider city-centre area, just 15 minutes-walk from the Cathedral.
If you expect something basic for really good money, go for it.

Cheap, but that's about it

When we arrived there had been some confusion about our booking (which turned out to be the owners mistake) and we thought at first we'd have to find somewhere else.
The guy working on reception (and seemingly doing everything else) was really lovely, but clearly utterly overwhelmed with work. To be fair it was an extremely busy time of year.
The room was very basic and the shared bathroom wasn't particularly nice. Probably better off in an alberque.
Excellent location though and extremely cheap, so it depends what you're looking for.

Pension Santa Rita "terrible and disgusting"

I went to Santiago for two nights. The first one in Santa Rita Hostel was horrible. We couldn't sleep. Thanks God I went to different place the second night, where I had an amazing stay.
I didn't enjoy at all in Pension Santa Rita. Bed sheets are not clean, the smell of the rooms is disgusting, (specially the one we had on the 5h floor), it's quite old, and it's far from the Cathedral.
It is also very expensive for what the pension is. Quite disappointed.
