Recently renovated hotel but with one star too many.
The hotel has been recently renovated, although it still lacks to reach a four-star level; let me explain.
The facilities are very limited, with no lounges for meetings or relaxation, except for a small room they call a game room. Two elevators that function well and the location in a neighborhood on the outskirts of Santiago. However, it is well connected by bus, which has a stop at the door.
The renovated rooms have a good mattress, a proper shower, and a large TV size but with some shortcomings, such as not having more mirrors than the one in the bathroom, no doors on the wardrobes, and the air conditioning did not work in heat... because it was not activated.
In the context of a trip from IMSERSO, the worst part was the dining: always buffet style, the breakfast was passable, the lunch and dinner were terrible, unless you like a basic salad of lettuce, tomato, onion, and carrot.
It shares space with a pizzeria, and once they served it for dinner.
In short, if the price is appropriate, it can serve as a reference for resting from visits to Santiago and eating in the many places in the city.
This does not take away from the good attitude of the waiter (singular) who was overwhelmed, but always pleasant, as well as the reception staff and the young manager.

Bad experience
Acceptable rooms, the dining area, although it is self-service, has no variety, just two dishes with no choice. It lacks infrastructure and staff; the service is overwhelmed. The food leaves much to be desired.

Bad soundproof.
Nothing recommended until you are serious about upgrading.
Works living with the guests, trash around and especially a hellish noise all night of the electrical equipment of its back (to which our room gave).
Either soundproof those old machines or we won't be back.

Very bad!
I worked at this hotel, I'm a lady, I've been mistreated as such, the head of catering wouldn't even greet me, then it's taken months to pay me like two other comrades. People keep complaining about everything, it's really shattering.

Repeat in this hotel
in May I booked a travel package to santiago de compostela for 5 nights for October, the package included this hotel with breakfast included, some month later reading the bad reviews of google I was about to change it but in the end decided to accept it.
to say that the experience has been good, it is surely not a 4 star but complies in all aspects with a good hotel.
the newly renovated rooms, very comfortable. the charming and helpful staff attentive at all times. the location seemed excellent to me even if it is just outside of santiago, has a bus line that stops at the same door of the hotel that happens every 20 minutes and leaves you in the same center in less than 10 minutes.
the breakfast very complete, pastries, various types of breads, juices, coffee etc.
If you lack something you communicate it at reception, more towels, a refresher to the room etc. the Low Noise level.
Actually, I'd repeat another time. I attach pictures.
