Great for families!
Overall we had a great stay all the staff were very friendly appartments were fine ! The pool area was nice ! Maybe more parasols needed with the sunbeds ! The pool bar was good prices reasonable!

Great 2 weeks away
Had a great stay at the Bitacora, all staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in. We had room 208 which looked right into the pool and was a sun trap, the room was great with everything we need and air con in the rooms, maids were in every other day too. As others have said it's a bit of a nightmare getting a place at the pool with the mad dash for a lounger starting at 8.45 and some towels left on there all day. All in all a great holiday and would visit again,

Not impressed
Here at the minute, been here one day and so not impressed, myself and kids haven't slept due to the noise from rooms above, cant speak to reception staff as they are not there after 12. Its just a free for all.

Nice apartments but lack of shaded areas
The apartments are adequate and clean, the snack bar has quick service and a range of tasty food and drinks reasonably priced. Bring your own pool towel none are supplied and expect to be exposed to full sun around the pool. Only a handful of umbrellas are available and they get taken down because of wind problems. Obviously this has been an issue with them for awhile and no solution has been used to secure the umbrellas to weighted stands, despite umbrella man/pool attendant still sitting under one when he has taken the handful that exist down for others. Expect to be sunburned around the pool area as there is little shelter only the snack bar and your apartments.

Modern room
we had a good stay. The room was modern, updated, and had great air conditioning. The balcony was a sun trap, and the pool bar and breakfast were excellent. The hotel's location is great, and the walk to the beach and back wasn't as bad as expected.
The main restaurant menu could be improved, and the hotel really needs to tackle the issue of guests reserving sunbeds with towels early in the morning and leaving them unused for hours.
Unfortunately, building work behind our room meant we were woken by noise around 8am every day, and children were often running around unsupervised into the late evening.
