Hotel Magina Plaza in Torres, Jaen Province

Stayed here in August 2016. Hotel Magina Plaza is up on a hill in the sierra with marvellous far reaching views from its terraces towards the hills, but somehow most rooms do not have nice views and some only look out on to the dusty parking area. The hotel is built a bit like a bull ring with the bedroom doors opening on to a circular well. If you want the bright lights this is not the place for you. I think only one person seemed to speak a smattering of English so we made painful use of our pidgin Spanish. There was olive oil on display for sale but they did not have any stock, so we said never mind,next time. On arrival there was some confusion as they did not have our reservation which had been made through an online agency, but we managed to phone the agency who in turn rang the hotel and a room was eventually allocated. Our room was much larger and nicer than we had expected but we only saw ours. It was clean with own bathroom, television, twin beds. There is a little outdoor swimming pool in the season, and we were able to swim. Take your own pool towels to lie on and to use if you stay there. Dinner to order was available. The hotel is a few miles out of town so there are no alternative restaurant options, but where else would you eat on the terrace with such a view? Breakfast was self service on our visit and we carried ours out to sit on the terrace. Everyone else followed suit as they awoke. A few wasps also arrived, attracted by the smell of the food but this is often the case outdoors in the summer. Everyone carried their used plates etc back indoors unasked as the "staff" consisted of a single woman making coffee who would have had to spend all day trying to carry everything back indoors. She had seemed a little stunned by the exodus outdoors for breakfast and we thought that perhaps people normally ate indoors. It was so peaceful and pleasant on the terrace in the early morning before the Andalucian summer sun rose high to bake the land that we thought of returning the next year 2017 . (We did try but by the time we did, it was fully booked. Perhaps this year.)

Lugar Idílico

Hotel en una situación excepcional de la Sierra de Mágina, si eres un amante de los cerezos, aqui tienes otro lugar mágico que descubrir. Recomendamos visitar la cascada del Zurreón.
Habitaciones muy cómodas, situadas en círculo, ideal para familias. El servicio inmejorable. El pan del desayuno espectacular.

Todo de lujo

Estuvimos una noche de camino a Segovia y de paso poder visitar Baeza, patrimonio de la humanidad por la unesco, carreteras de curvas para hartarse, vistas espectaculares, solo puedo decir que hay que venir a ver estos pueblos.
El hotel limpio, la atención inigualable!!!
Nos pusieron unas cerezas para que las probasemos que estaban de lujazo.
Bartolo y Rosa nos trataron estupendamente. Trato familiar y tranquilo
El precio con desayuno incluido no lo encontramos por la zona en ningún sitio. 40€ la habitación doble con cama de matrimonio y desayuno. Vamos, cuando volvamos a pasar por aquí, que volveremos, ya sabemos donde alojarnos!

Inattendu

Perdu dans les montagnes ce gîte rural offre un écrin de convivialité. Un apéritif loin des bars français et leur 4cl, et pour le repas ambiance un peu bruyante mais des plats de la région fort bon. Une grande chambre pour 4 mais les lit d’appoint sont vraiment d’appoint. Un accueil un peu rustre au début mais qui s’affine avec le temps. Bon moment.

Unas vacaciones que se hicieron muy cortas, la comida/cenas impresionantes

De el pueblo y las vistas de hotel , solo pondré, que Impresionante, del hotel lo mejor sin duda los dueños Trini, su marido y sus hijos sobre todo Rosa, la hija, una mujer que cualquier hotel de 5 estrellas querrían tener como Gobernanta, gerente y hasta camarera, cualquier pequeño incidente en la habitación o el hotel lo solucionó con una rápidez y dligencia que en otras estancias en las que he estado me hubiera gustado encontrar.Eramos dos parejas con habitación y desayuno a un precio super ajustado y los cuatro coincidimos que el tratro y la estancia han sido insuperables,
Volvería a este establecimiento o a otro que lo regentaran estas personas/profesionales.
