Very nice and helpful staff. Very clean hotel. Comfortable room with good air conditioning.

Nice boutique hotel, friendly staff, great location with good public transport options nearby. Fabulous rooftop bar. We enjoyed our stay.
The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast which had limited options, lacked fresh vegetables and was very monotonous. Wevwould definitely stay here again but on room only basis

"Hôtel Puerta Serranos is a reflection of the magnificent city

Very beautiful boutique hotel with refined decor, located along the Turia, the city's green lung, a stone's throw from the historic center, everything can be done on foot including access to the City of Arts and Sciences as well as the oceanographic museum.
Comfortable and functional room, very well soundproofed. The entire staff is available, responsive, and welcoming.
A slight downside, while the quality of the à la carte breakfasts proved to be good, the choice remains limited, especially when staying for a few days. We would have preferred a buffet version. Beautiful terrace on the top floor with a view of Valencia, unfortunately very quickly taken over and too crowded, prices of drinks quite high.
That said, we intend to return to this city that charmed us enormously, and we would gladly stay at the Puerta Serranos again.

Avoid interior room type

Beware the standard room at this hotel. Unlike the photos on the website, most of these rooms have 1 window and are very dark. Also, for some reason the hotel chose to put windows in the hallway by the elevators that face into the courtyard, meaning you either have to draw the blackout shades or accept the fact that anyone can see straight into your room.
Also, if you check in late at night and the hotel is fully booked, you could be stuck with one of the accessible rooms (there are no photos or mention of this room type on their website). These rooms have a very awkward layout on an angle and are especially dark because one of their "windows" is located in the bathroom and is fully blacked out/bricked over, and the other is small and obfuscated from above by a ledge. The door is also right by the elevator so good luck sleeping in. This might feel like a downgrade, but dont worry! The hotel considers this room to be the same category so you will not be entitled to any compensation.
Also, the door to the bathroom is glass so if you want to have the light on in there at night you'll risk waking your partner up so I wouldnt recommend *any* room for couples.
Nice location and cool rooftop bar, though.
