Excellent service.

Wonderful view, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean, and you absolutely must watch the sunset at Karlov Cage, which has a hotel-like feel.

A very clean and beautiful hotel with a view overlooking the Novi Sad area, the staff were very helpful.

Castle Experience

We thought it would be fun to stay in a castle, especially such an historic one, but it was not exactly the lap of luxury. The décor in the rooms is somewhat dated. The bed was OK, shower was excellent (once we’d figure out how to work it), and there were plenty of towels. They supplied toiletries but we didn’t use them.
We enjoyed a great view of the city across the river from our window and a walk around the ramparts gives you an idea of this enormous complex.
Breakfast was pretty awful. We were there two nights so had two breakfasts. The eggs (we tried omelette, scrambled and fried) were very salty, the bread was stale and the fruit bowl was full of old looking apples and oranges. When I asked for a glass for the ‘orange juice’ (more like orange KoolAid) I was shown a pile of old looking mugs. There was only a handful of mismatched bowls for muesli, most of which were chipped.
We enjoyed the two attached restaurants for dinner each night in another part of the castle but would go elsewhere for breakfast if we could. The staff were mostly helpful and kind, with special thanks to Ram. It was an interesting experience to stay there and we loved the history (we recommend visiting the nearby museum to understand the strategic importance of this huge castle complex), but until breakfast improves we wouldn’t stay there again.

Excellent & comfortable rooms with a convenient location next to the Danube River

We stayed two nights with a large group on a GeoTours Balkans trip. The hotel is close to the bridge and about a 20 minute walk to the Catholic Cathedral (Holy Name of Mary).
Our bed was very comfortable and our room had several amenities including cotton robes. A stocked mini bar is available for a fee. The front desk staff were very friendly and allowed us to take a kettle and coffee mugs to our room. The bathroom was spacious with a very large shower.
The only negative about this hotel is one side of the room has a slanted ceiling, almost like you were in an attic. I accidentally hit my head softly a few times.
Breakfast had a large variety of local options along with several types of handmade French cakes.
Several restaurants are adjacent to the hotel along the Danube River.

Old school luxury

Old school luxury hotel with quirky decorations but oozing period charm. Great location in the old Petrovaradan Fort and an easy walk over the river into town (15 mins). All facilities work well and service is impeccable on the front desk. Walking the grounds around d the hotel as the sun goes down is most enjoyable , especially watching it settle o er lovely Novi Sad. If arriving luggage you will need to get a taxi u less you have your own transport.
