A beautiful oasis of peace and calm

We loved this hotel, it is beautiful oasis of calm in a busy city. Perfect to relax in the pool after a hot day’s site seeing. Our room was very clean and comfortable and I slept really well here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the owner was particularly helpful.
I have read some of the previous reviews and I am quite surprised, especially as I preferred Kingcity to the more expensive hotels we have stayed in.
To address some of the criticisms, here are the facts:
1. Breakfast and dinner are available on site but you have to preorder the day before.
2. There is a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee so bring your own and ask for a cup.
3. Drinks aren’t available but you do have a fridge in your room so go to a supermarket and buy what you want.
4. If you want beer or other alcohol you can go to a wine shop and buy some. Pick up a tuktuk outside the gate, we were charged 200 LKR to go there and back.
We did our own breakfast every morning, we bought fresh fruit and curd and kept it in the fridge. The staff were more than happy for us to eat it in the restaurant and provided plates, bowls and cutlery for us to do so. Coffee was also available.
So maybe this hotel doesn’t have the facilities of more expensive ones but it does provide enough for you to enjoy your stay. Honestly, this is my favourite hotel so far on our trip around Sri Lanka. The rates are really reasonable and because you can cater for yourself quite easily it makes it very affordable.
The jewel in the crown of this lovely hotel is the pool, it’s very clean and great for relaxing and cooling down.

Do not reserve this. There are no facilities here. No Room amenities. Different from the situation in the photo‍. The employees here have no respect. There is no cleanliness. The dilapidated hotel I saw.

Very Nice friendly people
Lovely breakfast and clean rooms
We were in 2 rooms both were very clean.
Breakfast was good with eggs toast coffee for a friendly price
The Guy who helps is speaks good english and is very friendly

Bad ever hotel experience

TV connection barred dueto non payment, bad smell from washroom. Totally disappointed with the hotel. No dinning room. Less parking spaces. Room arrangement needs improvement. Still this hotel is is primary stage. Compared to internet images premises is totally different.

Hotel still developing

New and clean but not near to convenience stores. Their restaurant isnt open yet and it means you have quite a hunt to get a meal. Swimmingpool is quite murky. It would be good if they sold cold drinks at reception or had bar fridges in the rooms. There is no hot water. This hotel will be better when they incorporate a few more services.
