⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another Exceptional Stay – Second Year in a Row!
This was our second consecutive year staying at Miridiya Lake Resort for our annual pilgrimage, and once again, the entire experience was absolutely wonderful. After the excellent hospitality we received last year, we decided to return this year with our group and booked 25 rooms. I’m very happy to say that Miridiya Lake Resort once again lived up to our expectations.
Organising accommodation for such a large group is never an easy task, but everything was handled extremely well. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the beautiful lakeside setting created the perfect peaceful and relaxing atmosphere after our long pilgrimage days.
One of the biggest highlights of our stay was once again the food. The meals were delicious, fresh and offered a great variety. Catering for a group occupying 25 rooms is no small responsibility, but the hotel handled it brilliantly. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the service during meal times was excellent.
The staff deserve a special mention. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, we were treated with warmth, kindness and genuine Sri Lankan hospitality. Everyone was friendly, attentive and always willing to help. It is this level of service that makes a hotel memorable and keeps guests coming back.
And, of course, a very special thank you must once again go to Mr. Udara.
Just like last year, Mr. Udara was an incredible support throughout the entire process. His professionalism, dedication, patience and personal attention made organising our large group so much easier. He always made sure everything was taken care of and that our group was comfortable and happy.
What impressed us most is that a year later, the level of care and hospitality from Mr. Udara remains exactly the same. He genuinely goes above and beyond for his guests and takes personal responsibility for ensuring everything runs smoothly. People like him make a huge difference to the overall guest experience. Mr. Udara is truly an amazing asset to Miridiya Lake Resort, and his commitment to hospitality deserves recognition.
Returning to the same hotel for a second consecutive year with such a large group says a lot about the confidence we have in Miridiya Lake Resort. Once again, they gave us a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable stay during a very important annual journey for us.

Great time at Miridiya Lake Resort
We had a great time during our stay at Miridiya Lake Resort. The room and the washroom were very clean and in excellent condition. The staff were very helpful as well.
Special shoutout to Samith at the restaurant area who served exceptionally well. He was very friendly and attentive to our needs.

One of the Most Disappointing Hotel Stays in Anuradhapura
Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and definitely not worth the money. The food quality was very poor for the breakfast, which was below our expectations. The room AC made loud noises throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. To make matters worse, workers started cleaning the garden very early in the morning right outside our room, and the noise completely disturbed our rest. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, and we were shocked to find many millipedes in the washroom, which made the room feel unhygienic. The staff was also not very friendly or welcoming. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had in Anuradhapura, and unfortunately, we would not recommend it to others.

Our stay at Miridiya Lake Resort was truly outstanding. The beautiful lakeside surroundings provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, while the food was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety.
What made our stay even more special was the warm hospitality of the entire team. Every staff member was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Their excellent service made us feel genuinely welcome from check-in to departure.
The resort is also conveniently located for exploring the ancient city of Anuradhapura, making it an excellent choice for both leisure and cultural travelers.
