Montana Rest

What a gem you get everything they advertise. They helped me out when kandala hotel did not honour my booking. They came to rescue and I was better off for it. It's so clean. Everything works. Great size. Good location to Everything. Wonderful man runs the place daily and he is a diamond to this place and I hope owners appreciate him. There is a fridge which is great and useful. TV satellite so while it's not priority for me it was nice to catch up on world news while travelling. I can't speak highly enough about this place. Oh They serve great food also.

Lovely stay in Anuradhapura

We stayed here for 2 nights and our stay was fantastic! The structure is real close to the centre of the village and the Sacreted City of Anuradhapura is easy to reach by bike (they rent bikes for a good price). They organized for us a trip to Mihintale with tuktuk (good price), the driver was very kind and he showed us secret places and delicious fruits along the way.
The breakfast was great (even the western and the SriLanka type).
The personal is lovely and very kind, they helped us with the organanization of the journey and tell us interesting stories about local life.
We loved our stay here and we recommend it!!!!!

Lovely Guesthouse

This delightful guesthouse is in a quiet residential area of Anuradhapura. The owners are friendly and helpful. Price is very reasonable. Home cooked food is always served with a smile. The Sri Lankan omelet with a good breakfast is recommended. I also had hoppers for dinner with a nice dahl and the onion sambal was delicious. The garden area is peaceful and relaxing. Within the guesthouse there are nice areas to relax, either on the balcony (with a cool evening breeze) on in the several areas inside. The room was comfortable with all amenities needed. Mosquito need was over the bed, but I did not need it, and I seem to attract mosquitos! This is a clean and comfortable guesthouse.

Great place to stay a night

This is a large house turned into a guesthouse. Our bedroom had a large bed with mosquito net, desk with chair, one bedside table and AC. There was kind of a corridor going to the bathroom (all just for us) where there was a fridge and a rack to hang clothes. The bathroom was spacious. Everything was very clean. Towels, hand soap, toilet paper and two small bottles of drinking water were provided. On our request they served us bed tea at 7 am. We did not have any meals here. The house has several large sitting areas for everybody to use (one also with TV) so it would also be nice if you are a small group who wants to hang out together a little bit. There was also an ironing board with iron in the corridor in case you need to get ready for a business meeting. The house is on a side road so it was quiet in the night and we slept well. Free WiFi was available downstairs.

Beautiful place and great food

Pros - my room was very clean and comfortable and the food was very good. Located on a quiet, leafy street.
Cns - no wifi in the rooms. The bicycle I rented from them was pretty crap. There are a million mosquitos there. The host was pretty pushy about me taking tuk tuks when I didn't want to (happy to see the old city by bicycle and take the bus to Dambulla).
