Premium hospitality at an affordable price

This holiday house was incredible! From the moment we arrived to when we left, we felt completely at home with the hospitality and kindness that was shown to us. Janaki and Kithy truly do know how to host!
My partner and I stayed here for 3 weeks while we were working at Kalubowila. We wished we could have stayed for longer, that's how much we enjoyed it!
Comfortable beds, A/C in rooms, cleaning service provided every 3 days, free and fast wi fi (we were able to watch plenty of NetFlix), flatscreen TV, security safe, shared kitchenette facilities with utensils provided. And all this for LKR 3,500 per night!!
We felt incredibly safe in Janaki's home, partly because of the physical barriers (there's a high brick wall and CCTV footage) and because of Janaki and her family's presence. Her caretakers, Samy, Rani & Poohenedran went to every effort to ensure our comfort, including making us breakfast every morning (for LKR 350 rupees per person), to ensuring we had plenty of water, to making sure that we were using the most cost effective methods of transport to and from work.
It was an incredible 3 weeks staying at Aurora Holiday House, and we will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Colombo! Thank you Janaki!!

Calm and peaceful stay

Had stayed close to 2 weeks. Rooms are very clean with AC,wifi,TV,safe & hot water.Kitchen is available on both floors for those who prefer to cook. Both floors have balconies with sufficient seating arrangement. Owner and staff are excellent and very helpful.The place is close to Mt Lavinia beach.Hotels and supermarkets are all available at walking distance.Had a very nice and peaceful stay. Would definitely recommend

Feels like at home

I always stay in Aurora when I am in Colombo. My husband and me found this place 2 years ago and we feel reallt comfortable and welcomed there. This rooms are big and equipped with a safe, WI-FI, AC, hot water, balcony and big beds. The staff is always friendly and helpfull. The kitchen on each floor and the big bancanies to relax make the stay even more enjoyable. I love the place because I feel very safe there, even for women who travel alone is this a very good place to stay.
I can recommend Aurora Holiday House 1000% ! And I am so happy that we got to know the place.

Ticks all the boxes

I visited Mount Livinia for three nights. This hotel was a good, clean place to stay. It's within easy reach of the beach and the main street with plenty of restaurants. The hotel was good value with a good breakfast to start the day. The room was comfortable with good wifi and TV. The owner was very helpful with ideas for exploring the area.

My kind of place for a good stay

This is my second time at Aurora holiday home. yet again they delivered as promised the best of the best. it´s very easy to get along with the staff and they are very helpful. when my friends and my self visited down south far, Mrs, Janaki gave all the phone numbers asking me to contact her or any one in the staff at any time of the night ,making sure that we came back safe. She even organized the cab for me at 4 am, as a female traveler thinking of my safety. If you wish you can get very good tips about all sorts of things, where to go, what to do, to eat etc.. you find BBC, National geographic and more channels in English among other channels.rooms and bathrooms are very clean and you can trust the personal. I am planning to visit Sri Lanka next year and defiantly will stay at this place! As a female traveler from Scandinavia, safety and health is very important to me and found both at this establishment. Thank you MRS, Janaki for making my long stay a safe and happy one. hope to see you soon.
