Affordable place with friendly staff

It is a nice homestay. Due to some problems I arrived almost 2 hours later than planned, and even though it was already way after sleeping time, they opened the door for me and checked me in. It is very simple homestay with all the essentials. I believe that you can also ask them to cook a meal for you but I am not sure about it. But the place is located around 5-7 minutes walking from the beach, depending on how long your legs are and how fast you walk. Recommended.

Great stay

I could not understand some of the reviews? Maybe it was being repair I don’t know but I found the place an excellent buy. Very homely very comfy. Super staff even booked a picnic in Unawatuna which was great!

Comfortable!! Very Homely!!

Ocean Blue Residence is comfortable and homely. It is five minutes from the beach and not near the railway. It is set in a lovely, quiet location. Beds have comfortable mattresses which enables you to have a good nights sleep. Staff are always on hand to help and give you any information you require.
I would highly recommend the Ocean Blue Residence.

Love their hospitality

I m frequent visitor of this place. A lot of sweet memories are attached with this place. Their hospitality can't be compared with any other guest house. They will make you feel like you are in your own house
Best budget stay in Mount Lavania
Property is getting old but happy to see that they are building new rooms

Really bad!

We knew when we booked this place that it was not going to be anything special on account of the cheap price. However, we were not prepared for just how bad it was. The photos we found online were extremely misleading, the bedroom itself was filthy and the walls were covered in mould. I am a dog lover but there was a huge Great Dane in our room when we arrived which I wasn't very impressed with. The bathroom was black with mound all over the walls and the door half rotted away. To top it off we just didn't feel safe. There were people right outside our door for lots of the night and lots of coming and going. I would not recommend this place AT ALL, even if you are on a budget.
