Excellent following its recent revamp.

We have just spent ten days here. The place has had a substantial upgrade since our last visit a bit over two years ago. The rooms have been repainted and the bathrooms fitted with new fixtures. Electrical points have been changed and so on.
The rooms are large, clean and have a good view to the ocean. I would mention at this point that Suwaya Villa is set in substantial grounds ... considerably bigger than this stretch of the beach which roughly starts at Ibis and carries on to Ganesh Gardens. The new manager is keen to make a success of this place: breakfast is excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!

Avoid avoid avoid

After looking at the pictures this place looked lovely. However when we got there it was shockingly bad and didn't look at all like the pictures. The pool was horrible, rooms were terrible, smelly, dirty and had blood stains on the sheets. We left after five minutes

Looking a bit tired, but still a lovely place and a good price

We enjoyed two nights here, it's a very peaceful and relaxing spot. It's right in the beach, with the lagoon on the other side. You can borrow canoes and explore the lagoon, with its iguanas, monkeys, sea eagles and storks. There is a surprisingly big and clean pool.
They only do breakfast, but there's plenty of good places to eat along the strip.
You'll need mozzie repellent.

Best stay on our sri lanka tour!

On the first sight this hotel might look a little bit worn down. But I would recommend a stay anyway! The price compensates for the small cracks here and there (sunbeds for example). You get nice and clean rooms with AC, a nice Pool, free Coconuts and all in a quiet area not to far from all the restaurants at the beach. The staff is the best we had on our journey!
