Our Jaffna home

A clean and comfortable home to enjoy the delights of Jaffna from. The great team were incredibly warm and worked together to deliver hospitality and assistance adding to the ‘home’ experience.
It is a great location with tuktuks easy to arrange in order to get in and out and around town. Wish we had stayed longer in this vibrant city.

A restored colonial style bungalow with wonderful staff!

A restored charming colonial style bungalow with a small pool and amazing staff who were very attentive and accommodated our request to eat on the verandah rather than in the dining area at the back of the house. Interestingly an ironing board in the main reception area! Room was very dark and due to aircon and man eating mosquitos we were discouraged from opening the windows. Bathroom was a 'modernisation' - functional but not pretty. Mathu (manager), Sutha and Nivan Jan looked after us wonderfully! Some wonderful black and white sketches decorated the walls.

One of our favourites

A beautiful building. Nice and peaceful after the bustle of the city centre which is about 15 minute walk away. The staff were great and very attentive. The lovely breakfasts and dinners were served in the courtyard. The pool, although not big, is an added bonus to cool off after seeing the sights of Jaffna. One of our favourite hotels on our tour.

Plenty of character.

This is a lovely old building which is very good condition and furnished to a high standard. Our superior double room was large, having a separate lounge area. There are only four rooms so you get particularly good service from the staff, who speak good English. They serve a nice breakfast and will order in lunch or dinner and serve it in the dining area - a nice touch.
Tip - buy some mosquito spray for your room since the windows are not glazed. You don’t want to keep the shutters closed all the time.

Boutique hotel in Quiet location

This is an old world house restored sympathetically and boasts 4 rooms only off a central courtyard.
The rooms are modest in size but roomy enough to spread out a bit. Bathroom in room 4 was quite small and has a water leak from the washstand that’s a bit annoying
However the staff were very friendly and helpful, sleep quality good and it’s within 15-20 minutes walking distance from the city centre and the main Hindi temple that’s a must see on a visit to Jaffna.
Nice pool and off street parking was available . Dinner is sourced from a nearby restaurant and it was fantastic so ate in-house for both night we were there
It’s quite expensive for what it offers and to other SL hotels we stayed
