Very helpful staff. At a walking distance from the Tooth Temple. The AC works nicely.

Disappointing! Beware of fake reviews!!

Disappointing room, not worth the money. Linen were not so clean. The guy taking care of the rooms was nice and kind, but still the overall experience was bad. Door closes at 9 pm, afterwards you need to ring a bell so as he opens the door for you. During check out, he offered to decrease the price of the room, if we write a very good review, so be careful with what you read!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Blatant Racism & Lies!

This place deserves a negative infinity rating! My friend (Australian) and I (SriLankan) booked a room through Booking.com for a one-night stay. Upon arrival, the owner subjected us to blatant racism. He questioned MY nationality and flat-out refused to let ME stay, claiming they only allow "foreigners." His excuse? Locals (like me, apparently) are thieves who can't be caught by their "limited security system" (despite a clearly functioning CCTV camera). Absolute nonsense! Why would I steal from my own friend or other guests? Disgraceful.The hotel itself was also underwhelming, with numerous stairs and a hostile atmosphere. I strongly advise avoiding this establishment until they rectify their discriminatory practices.

Good quality price

It is a very average hostel, it is central but it is quite old. The room is very simple, the sheets are clean, the furniture is old and there are moisture stains in the air conditioning area. The bathroom is just right, they don't put soap. The ground floor is a cafeteria, where you can eat desserts and savory foods for a very low price. The rooms are on the second and third floors, it's a bit dark, but the man at reception goes out of his way to help. He brings breakfast to the room and asks you beforehand what fruit you like. He had the magnificent detail of taking us to the train station on a local bus, quite an experience, he even invited us along for the ride. For the price we paid it was definitely worth it.

Value foe Money

So the location is perfect, just 5 mins to the Tooth Temple and KCC and the lake, the guy running it is a gentleman, very helpful and very polite. Breakfast also is fine Eggs and Toast, the hotel is old but does the job. I think there is 01 small room which will not match the photos or maybe there can be one on each floor, but just make sure you don't get that room as it is very small and not even worth the low price. Otherwise Value for money. For nightlife I think the best place is Slightly Chilled, you would need to take a tuk tuk to and fro, but good thing is that PickMe works just fine here. Enjoy.
