Kids paradise.... shallow waters.

This is probably the best bit of beach in a 10 mile stretch.
A simple place but, honestly projected. The natural swimming pool is massive and the safest on the island. Loads of snorkelling scope & the turtles, a sure sighting.
Great place right on the sands.

Dirty hotel, not worth the money

I stayed here because of the good reviews I read on here, but I am not sure how it can get any. It is too expensive for the rooms, dirty bathrooms, just not a nice hotel for what they charge. There are far nice hotels in Sri lanka for the same money.

Room for improvement

We spent 1 night there, the staff is really nice and the location great. the sri lankan breakfast was tasty but also pricey. the rooms are basic, the mosquito net was fine, but the bathroom was poorly maintained and the sheets and pillows really smelly, which I think is a no go. also we couldn't use the fan because it would have been too loud during the night.
all in all a simple place to stay and not too bad for only one night but I think you don't get enough for your money.

Number one place in Matara.

This hotel is not close.its open and everybody is happy in there. This award is a good proof to show how guest feel about sayuri and it's not close.do not think fake details about sayuri.stay in there and get the great experience at safe sea and good foods.

Is not closed!!!

I usually live in Polhena 6/8 months for a year and Sayuri is always open!! They have amazing view of the ocean, fresh juice, music, fresh food and friendly staff! They have some simple rooms, and you can see turtles swimm from the table where you eat. Also you can have a sunbed under on the most beautifull tree of the beach! If you go to Polhena stop there!!! Still is open!!!☉
