Best staff, food and service (even in low season)

Without a doubt, the best staff and service I’ve experienced on the island so far during low season.
Many places around the area understandably lower the quality and freshness of their products during the off-season, but unfortunately the service often drops too. Surfing Wombats is not only one of the best places in Midigama during high season, but also during low season.
The pizza is incredible, and the carbonara is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had (completely homemade and absolutely delicious).
A special thanks to the manager who looked after me (I think his name was Mahila). He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even better.
You’ll definitely be seeing me here a lot this low season… and the next high season too! Gracias!!!

First very nice evening

Great family restaurant, the pizzas are excellent, the decoration is nice and the waiters very friendly. Thanks to Kalvin for his service.
Small + for desserts: tiramisu, ice pop and especially the nutella calzone!
And all with the family, with 4 children.

Super great pizza

We went there with as a family-to adults and three children and ordered different pizzas (wombat special, Hawaiana, Affumiciata). We ate everything, it was delicious! NB! They don't sell alcohol but its welcome to bring your own beer!

Home, away from home

Good vibes, good food, good people. Go for a day, be prepared to stay for much longer. Krõõt, Romina and rest of the crew will make sure you’ll feel as part of the wombat family. With Lazy left only 2 minute walk from the doorstep and many other breaks in around just 2-15min tuktuk ride this is a good place to stay for your surf vacation. Rentals on the corner of the street if you do not have a board.
Oh, and yoga and movie nights and monkeys on the trees and guitar music and bonfires on the beach and all that. 6 star service.

I loooove this place!

What a fantastic place to stay! The vibe here is very friendly and you get in touch with people instantly. The beds are large and comfy, and the outside areas are nice. This is also a good place for yoga if you are in the need for a refreshing morning session or an evening stretch. You also don’t want to miss out on the food here. The food is life changing, especially the pizza. Surfing Wombats is the best place to stay on the south coast.
You can really tell that this hostel and restaurant is run by people with real passion for their work and love for their guests.
